SURGICAL PROCEDURES All surgical procedures are performed by Dr. Julie Khanna, Plastic Surgeon Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) An arm lift, also known as Brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. An incision along the inside of the arm from the armpit to the elbow is used to eliminate loose skin and to tighten the remaining tissue. Body Lift (Post Dramatic Weight Loss) Body contouring after major weight loss reduces the excess skin and fat that is left behind from the expansion of skin, loss of fat and lack of tissue elasticity that often occurs after a major weight loss. It is not uncommon to have multiple operations performed in stages. Breast Enhancement/Augmentation (Augmentation Mammoplasty) This procedure involves using implants to fulfi ll the desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Breast Lift (Mastopexy) Mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, raises and fi rms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Brow/Forehead Lift A forehead or brow lift is a procedure that restores a more youthful appearance above the eyes. The muscles and tissues are either removed or altered to smooth the forehead and help eliminate or decrease vertical frown lines between the eyebrows. By lifting the skin in these areas, horizontal lines are diminished, eyebrows are lifted and an overall smooth, rejuvenated appearance is achieved. Cheek Implants Patients who have a desire and need for a more prominent cheek contour may benefi t from a facial cheek implant. This surgery can also help patients who have signifi cantly reduced cheek tissue, and cheekbone contour as an inherited characteristic, a result of aging or facial asymmetry. The intended result is to give a more enhanced look to the patient s cheek contour, and correct any asymmetry. In addition, there are also non-surgical options to augment the cheek contour. Chin Implants A chin implant can help correct a chin that looks too small in comparison with other facial features. This surgery will also help patients who simply desire a more prominent chin. A chin implant will give a more attractive jaw line that creates harmony and a better balance between the chin and other facial features. Ear Pinning (Otoplasty) Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning, is generally performed to set prominent ears back closer to the head to prevent the ears from sticking out. It is also done to reduce the size of large ears. Earlobe Repair/Gauge Repair Piercing an earlobe puts it at risk to tear. The size, style, weight and gauge of an earring can contribute to the stretching of the earlobe opening. The result can be a partial or a complete tear of the earlobe. This procedure consists of freshening the edges of the split and the placement of sutures to complete the repair of the earlobe. Non-surgical TCA solution may be used to repair the ear if the tear is minimal.
SURGICAL PROCEDURES All surgical procedures are performed by Dr. Julie Khanna, Plastic Surgeon Eye Lift (Blepharoplasty) Blepharoplasty is the surgical removal of fat and usually excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It corrects droopy upper lids, as well as puffy bags below the lower lids, creating a refreshed, more youthful appearance with a younger looking, fi rmer eye area. If necessary a canthopexy can be used to lift the corners of the eyes. Face Lift/Neck Lift (Rhytidectomy) A face lift/neck lift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck. A face lift/neck lift restores a more youthful, rested appearance with uplifted contours and improved muscle tone in facial skin and underlying muscle. Fat Transfer Fat transfer is a procedure where fat is harvested from one part of the body such as the abdomen, thighs or buttocks, and injected into lips, hollows, breasts or buttocks. Labia Reduction (Labiaplasty) Labiaplasty, also referred to as labia reduction, is a highly specialized procedure to enhance and reduce the size of the labia minora. Liposuction Despite good health and reasonable level of fi tness, some people may still have disproportionate contours due to localized fat deposits. These areas may be due to family traits rather than a lack of weight control or fi tness. Liposuction slims and reshapes specifi c areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving your body contours and proportion. Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia) Gynecomastia, or male breast reduction surgery involves the removal of fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, and sometimes the removal of excess skin, resulting in a chest that is fl atter, fi rmer and better contoured. Nipple Tuck/Areola Reduction Nipple surgery is performed by making small incisions by the nipple or around the areola depending on the aspect of the nipple/areola complex that is to be corrected. Thigh Lift A thigh lift reshapes the thighs by repositioning underlying supportive structures and by removing excess skin. The result is thighs with smoother skin and an overall more youthful appearance. Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdomen wall. This will fl atten the appearance of the abdomen and make the waistline narrower.
