As a graduate from the Université Paris Dauphine, with a Master s degree specialising in Business Finance, I began my professional career at an investment fund. I then went on to join the Rothschild & Compagnie investment bank. In January 2011, I decided to move to the completely different but all the more exciting industry of cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine. Following a change of the Clinic s management in 2011, we underwent major restructuring and our primary goal is to ensure the maximum safety and comfort of all the Clinic s patients. We have put a team of hyperspecialised doctors and surgeons in place in each unit: with more than 90 practitioners at your disposal in order to guide you to the aesthetic, wellness and beauty techniques which are the most suitable for you. Our institute has over one hundred employees and more than 90 practitioners, including 50 plastic surgeons. 6 The cosmetic surgery unit The current trend is for minor, non-invasive procedures carried out under local anaesthetic without the need for patient hospitalisation and results which are as natural as possible. Cosmetic surgery techniques are becoming more diverse, giving patients a vast choice and allowing them to find the intervention which is most in line with their expectations. Dr. Patrick Baraf, plastic surgeon 85% of the surgical procedures that we perform relate to our patients bodies and 15% their faces. On average we perform over 400 surgical interventions at our institute every month. Our interventions Liposuction removes excess fat and unsightly bulges. In the event of small localised fat deposits, we recommend gentle liposuction. This consists of painless liposuction without the need for a general anaesthetic, which enables the patient to return to work immediately. The patient s stay at the Clinic The Clinic has 10 luxurious overnight patient rooms equipped with shower rooms. A high quality unit has been set up which proposes various services (massage, manicure, chocolates) enabling the patient to spend the most pleasant night at the clinic. For outpatient procedures, we have two post-operative wards and 16 recovery areas equipped with medical liquids. Customised support Our aesthetic consultants advise and support our patients, from their first consultation right up to the end result. For each intervention, the patient has the option of consulting 3 surgeons in order to determine which intervention is the most suitable for them. The patient then chooses the medical professional with whom they feel most comfortable. We always insist that our patients have the benefit of a fifteen day reflection period. Our post-operative care consists of calling the patient daily or weekly depending on the intervention. A specialised unit is available 24/7 in order to reply to the demands and any problems that a patient may encounter following an intervention. Our team of aesthetic doctors are continuously trained in the new rejuvenation techniques and we work with the most innovative and safe equipment. Our treatments Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT graft) extracts follicular units from a strip located on the back of the neck. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE graft) extracts follicular units one at a time without scarring. Automated FUE extracts follicular units using a device and is much quicker than manual FUE. In addition to treating baldness, hair implants can be used to recreate eyebrows or restore hair loss to beards. Medical laser hair removal For your safety, laser hair removal sessions are performed by a qualified laser physician. During the consultation, the physician will assess your pilosity, determine which laser is most suitable depending on your skin colour, the recommended settings and number of sessions. High tech lasers We use IV (professional) type lasers for hair removal which guarantee the safety of our patients. Two types of device: The Alexandrite laser for light skin tones. The ND Yag laser for patients with olive and darker skin tones. 10 Other treatments Clinic statistics Weight management and figure correction centre From localised liposuction to total management of the patient s journey with the appropriate nutrition monitoring, we wanted to provide a full range of services and procedures to suit the needs of each patient and help them feel comfortable with their bodies, to find vitality and a positive self-image. We help them lose weight and then resculpt their figure with liposuction or abdominoplasty. Gastric balloon: The insertion of a balloon (Orbera by Allergan laboratory) is accompanied by treatment by a nutritionist and psychologist during and after insertion of the balloon. Nutrition & psychological care: we work with our patient to prepare a customised programme with a fixed objective over time and regular meetings, as well as dietary monitoring, advice on diets and menus. The programme can be expanded to include psychological care and hypnotherapy sessions. Wellness centre This centre consists of offering techniques to improve the daily life of our patients (massages, osteopathy, treatment for snoring and sleep apnoea, hypnotherapy, Chinese medicine). This approach appeared to us to be a matter of course because it often supplements our surgical and aesthetic medicine procedures.
