APPROVE PROCESS FOR FILLING GOVERNING BOARD VACANCY FOR TERM ENDING IN 2016 The official letter of resignation from Maureen Mo Muir was filed with the San Diego County Office of Education on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with a deferred effective date of December 10, 2014. Pursuant to Education Code section 5090, Mrs. Muir s resignation will become effective on December 10, 2014. When a vacancy on a governing board occurs, the remaining members of the governing board shall, within sixty days of the effective date, call an election or make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy. Action Recommended: Approve the process for filling the Governing Board vacancy for term ending in 2016 by means of an election or an appointment process.

APPOINT A SUBCOMMITTEE OF BOARD MEMBERS TO RESEARCH AND DEFINE THE INTERVIEW PROCESS FOR THE VACANT BOARD SEAT (IF APPOINTMENT) The Board of Trustees will appoint a subcommittee of two Board members to research and define the interview process. The interview process will be presented for review and approval to the Board of Trustees at a future Board meeting.
