Develop an Individual Exercise Plan (IEP) for each exercise assigned by the USAR CIO/G 6 Operations that includes as a minimum; description of the exercise, identification of work to be done (planning task), and milestones/deadlines for completion (timeline).
Responsible for supporting USAR Signal Readiness planning and execution at designated exercise locations. The contractor shall provide guidance and assistance to USAR G 3/5/7 planners and their staffs to ensure continuity of effort and the orderly management and execution of the exercise at the prescribe locations. Analyze and document the effectiveness of exercise planning functions as part of the afteraction reporting for assigned exercises. Incorporate financial management controls by developing/using standard cost models for predicting the travel costs to support the exercises. Provide Command and Control Communications and Computers (C4) planning support for joint exercises and interoperability demonstrations. Through coordination with USAR CIO/G 6 and others, anticipates, identifies and mitigates shortfalls in the institutional training of the Signal Force. Focus areas include training and readiness, Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) or variant of a future sourcing readiness model, operational needs statements, request for forces, mobilization, deployment, redeployment, and RESET of Operating Forces. Assist the government with Mission Command functions to include but not limited to identify subordinate or down trace units automation equipment and training requirements; development of IT policy, procedures, and doctrine. Assist the government with network engineering tasks in support of both CONUS and OCONUS training and exercise networks utilizing the Army Reserve network (ARNET) for transport. Conduct interviews with subject matter experts, sponsors, and participating organizations prior to and during architecture development.
