FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN DELHI 1. The I.R.C.H. Poor Fund _Patients get medical assistance of Rs.5000= only. The patient should approach room no. 44 A with the concerned doctor s recommendation on the O.P.D. Card. 2. If a patient gets adopted by The Cancer Foundation in I.R.C.H. He or she is entitled to Rs. 15000=assistance only. For this help the concerned doctor recommends the case and if it is passed by the committee, the patient gets help in the form of medicines. 3. The Prime Minister Relief Fund, south block, gives Rs. 30,0000= or upto the half of the of the total expenses incurred by the patie nt, as per the decision of the concerned committee. For this the patient should submit the following documents: (a) Income certificate of the earning male member, between the age group of 21 years to 59 years, of the family.in the rural area tehsildar and in urban area S.D.M. of the area can issue the certificate. (b) Application on a plain paper (c) Doctor s estimate (d) Attested copy of Ration Card BPL/ APL (e )An MP s recommendation letter. The patient applies directly to the PMRF. 4. Health Minister s discretionary Grant for other than BPL card holder but econom ically weaker section can be procured. For this form can be procured from the Nirman Bhawan.The following documents have to be furnished along with the application: (a) Original income certificate
(i) (ii) Rural area --tehsildar can give it Urban area-- S,D.M. can give it (b) Attested copy of ration card containing name of the patient and the patient s relation with the card holder (c) Doctor s estimate for the treatment NOTE 1 As per the ration card if no family member mentioned in the ration card is more than 21 years; the income certificate of the card holder will do. In case there ar e other male member/s aged more than 21 years family certificate from all sources should be procured NOTE 2 Committee of A.I.I.M.S can sanction up to Rs. One lac. If the estimate is more than Rs. One lac, the form will be sent to the Ministry and the correspondence will be between the ministry and the patient s family. When the letter of sanction reaches the patient s family they should approach the hospital with the letter. Note-- Patients falling in BPL(Below Poverty Line) can get all hospital charges exempted in AIIMS and IRCH. For medicines etc the patient whether BPL or low income group should request a nd ask their concerned doctor if they can be helped from the hospital. Patients get it from room no. 44 A in I.R.C.H. For this they have to show their o.p.d. Card showing their next visit to the hospital. This facility is available to cancer patients only. From hospital to home, concession is only for the cancer patient. From home to hospital,concession is given to the patient and one attendant. In case concession is given, the patient has to pay 25% of the fare. The concession rates for different classes will be different.
