Shadowing other more Cambridge University Hospitals Focus on back to basics i.e. management development in its widest contact and a major performance management initiative where all staff are assessed and the culture of performance management in the Trust developed; Leadership development increased focus on the needs of clinical staff e.g. recently completed a Clinical Directors/Divisional Directors programme plus work for aspiring consultants; plus a major piece of work to review the Francis recommendations led by the Chief Nurse and Head of OD/ plus engagement projects/ Board in the light of new CEX and new Chair and Monitor recommendations/ work on Talent Management Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Senior leadership programme-for leaders/managers from a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles at Band 7 and above. The programme is run over 10 months, twice a year. Modules are based on the NHS Leadership Framework and interactive activities supplemented by Master Classes,Action Learning Sets, and completion of a work based improvement project, culminating in a Next Steps presentation event. Candidates undertake a Centre, 360 LF and MBTI assessments. Currently exploring possibility of obtaining ILM accreditation. Introduction to Hinchingbrooke Health Care Internal developed programmes: Preceptorship programme run over 6 months for all newly qualified nurses (currently being reviewed to become multi-professional. Leadership programme aimed at band 6 & 7 which includes an academic element and a service improvement project. Again this runs over 6 months and assessment is via a portfolio and presentations. We are currently developing leadership pathways for band 7 & 8 staff. Opportunities for shadowing, mentoring and coaching is available for individuals as assessed by their manager on an individual basis External programmes: Leadership accredited courses at degree and postgraduate levels accessed via the Higher Education institutions (again individuals identified by leads) Mentorship programmes Clinical supervision Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust Internal Leadership Programme in development for all band 7 and 8 staff.
