GAS LIFT MANAGER Well Site SCADA Gas Lift Manager

GAS LIFT MANAGER Setting the standard for Gas Lift Automation. Benefitting from more than 30 years of Opti-Flow Gas Lift design expertise, the Gas Lift Manager (GLM) from PCS Ferguson automatically stabilizes injection of your gas lift wells, ensuring optimal well performance and reducing the need for intervention at the well site. As part of our Well Site SCADA system, the GLM continuously monitors temperature and pressure while regulating gas injection flow rates to ensure effective and efficient operations. The GLM is able to control and optimize production of multiple wells simultaneously. It features unique kickoff and restart algorithms to minimize the labor required for initial implementation and routine maintenance. The GLM doesn t stop there; it also monitors the facility equipment associated with gas lift, including compressors, separators, dehydrators, EFMs, tank levels, and more. Stable Gas Injection Stabilized injection rates are key to efficient gas lift operations. PID loops are an effective method of helping stabilize flow, however application expertise and measurement device knowledge are key to optimized control in any dynamic multivariable system. The GLM design employs a unique method of separating the response time and system dynamics into separate user programmable settings. This allows you to quickly and easily retune injection operations when the dynamics of the system change, all without recalculation of PID mathematical parameters. Custom Programming Unique operating scenarios often require customization of the well operations. The de facto standard in automation software technology, ISaGRAF allows you to write custom control programs for operation of virtually any device or facility on your site. Available as an optional upgrade to the PCS Ferguson 8800 Site Manager controller, the ISaGRAF embedded programming suite will facilitate the best solution for your unique requirements without the time and expense of typical customization. Well Design Data Capture Gas Lift Manager stores well design and installation information for each well, such as well bore type, mandrel types, number of valves and their type, closing pressures, installation depths, and pressure design settings. This information may answer critical questions and troubleshooting problems that arise when getting the well into production quickly. With this data available on your smart phone, tablet, or laptop, you will always have the well design on hand. Automatic Kickoff Well startup is a critical moment when running a gas lift system. With fluid in the annulus and production tubing, care must be taken when building pressure to transfer fluid through the valves. Applying high pressure and high volume gas too rapidly can damage the downhole injection valves and destroy the effectiveness of new installations. The GLM provides patent-pending, API compliant selectable or automatic kickoff, ramp, and re-start algorithms, designed to help greatly reduce or eliminate the risk of damage to downhole gas injection valves. 2

GAS LIFT MANAGER SYSTEM FEATURES 24/7 management and control of eight wells and injection points Automatic API-compliant startup and kickoff routines Integration with leading host providers, including XSPOC by Theta Monitoring and control of surface facilities and well site devices User configurable data logging and reporting Highly flexible alarm features and response actions Access to trend and accumulation data, even across power failures or reset scenarios HOW YOU BENEFIT Stabilized gas injection optimizes gas usage and maximizes well production Flexible architecture allows easy customization to any pad or site layout System redundancy reduces the impact of single points of failure, like lightning strikes Increased environmental safety with tank level management and emergency shut down Safer monitoring and control through local and long-range communication options Simplified gathering of production data used in oil and gas commission reports Measurement Device Data Smoothing The precise nature of gas measurement can often create data anomalies that may impact PID control. The GLM offers data smoothing options at injection inputs to help stabilize injection, minimize overshoot, and keep PID adjustments to a minimum to increase the life of surface injection valve components. Flexible Solutions for Pad Layouts Gas Lift Manager runs on the PCS Ferguson 8000 Series controller platform. Thanks to a local wireless network, the master controller can be located anywhere on the well pad. Additional gas lift remote devices can be added to the network to manage dislocated injection points. Remote I/O is available for wellhead monitoring and control giving you the flexibility you need to accommodate any pad layout. 3

GAS LIFT MANAGER Manage your entire well site. Gas Lift Manager does more than just manage gas lift operations. Designed with the entire well site in mind, it also provides advanced tank management and other remote measuring and sensing capabilities to help monitor and optimize well surface operations. 4 Tank Management Remote Measurement & Sensing As a Modbus Master, the PCS Ferguson 8800 Site Manager or the PCS Ferguson 8400 can poll measurement devices, store tank level data, and calculate fluid volumes. With configurable alarm, shut-in, and restart rules, you can customize alarms and shut-in criteria base on the specific well design and conditions. Tanks and wells can be managed individually or in groups for maximum flexibility. Gas Lift Manager can interface with a variety of remote measuring devices. In addition to the local I/O on the controllers, the system can collect data from many other production meters on the well site or pad. You can configure alarms and shut-in criteria based on this data and transmit alarms to the host system, keypad display, the safety shutin, or any combination designed to fit your needs.

GAS LIFT MANAGER Multiple Test Production Loops User-Friendly Interface Multi-well pads often require two or three production test loops at the same time. Gas Lift Manager supports one test production loop per well and multiple separator test production loops simultaneously. Test loops run for a userdefined duration, and required production data is stored and available for reporting. WellVision interface allows you to configure your site, fine tune optimization and production, and troubleshoot and correct problems faster and more efficiently while in the office or at the well site. With access to realtime and historical data, you can quickly and efficiently recognize trends or address production issues. For smaller operations, WellVision offers real-time remote well diagnostics, automated data downloads, graphical analysis of well performance, easy to use reporting capabilities, and remote connectivity options. Data Logging For detailed well analysis, GLM has a large embedded memory capability to accommodate many kinds of data. Injection flow and pressure, as well as corresponding well head pressures and temperatures can be captured for analysis using third-party tools. ENHANCE SAFETY WITH WELLTREKKER Our WellTrekker mobile app provides the convenience of WellVision s configuration and reporting tools in an easy-to-use app designed for tablets and mobile devices. Using Bluetooth connectivity, WellTrekker allows you to easily manage your well pad without ever having to leave your truck. This increases manpower efficiency and means greater safety for your people. 5
