At the same time, young people in many countries are looking for new career opportunities. This is where Academy Cube comes in. This initia tive, started by SAP, offers career starters and professionals from IT, general engineering and mechanical engineering the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge and contacts to leading European employers. Project partners in clude, among others, Festo Didactic GmbH & Co. KG, Software AG, and the University of Duisburg- Essen. The heart of the platform is an intelligent matching system. Participants can sign up for numerous e learning and training modules to build their skills, and then apply directly for jobs where those skills are needed. Currently, more than 1,000 job positions and around 11,000 prospective applicants are regis tered. Around 11,000 prospective applicants have already participated in courses 3 / 5

Since Academy Cube was initiated by SAP, those in charge of the project felt it made sense to involve SuccessFactors experts when developing the plat form. A key criterion for the platform was that it must be as easy as possible to use both for end users and data administrators. In addition, the configura tion had to be flexible to accommodate frequent content changes that require quick information updates. The SuccessFactors solutions were con figured to meet the exact requirements of the project.
