Experience Major Project Implementation Rehabilitation of the SR500 Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Radio Systems for the Telkom Kenya Ltd (TKL). The project involved recovery of existing equipment, installation and commissioning of new equipment at both central and outstations, and complete reengineering of links in all the systems spread across different regions in Kenya. Installation and commissioning of the 70 km optical fiber communication link between the Nairobi and the Longonot Earth Station. The project involved installation, and testing and commissioning of the optical fibre cable, installation of SDH equipment at both at the TKL s carrier room in Nairobi and the earth station gateway at Longonot, and final testing and commissioning of the system. Radio re-engineering of the Safaricom s GSM mobile communication network. The project involved, recovery of existing equipment, installation and commissioning of new equipment, cabling at the Base Transmitter Stations (BTS), and Mobile Switching Centres (MSC) and optimization of microwave links. Implementation of the High Speed Data Network for Uganda Telkom Ltd. ((UTL): I was responsible for onsite training of UTL engineers on data communication. Quality Management Systems Experience Design and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Comtec Group: As the Quality Management Representative for the Group is was involved in the design, documentation and implementation of the QMS and eventual certification to the ISO: 9001:2000 standard in December 2003. Design and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Kenyatta University: As the Chairman ISO 9001:2000 implementation committee I was responsible for steering the certification process leading to certification in May 2008. ISO 9000 Quality Management System Audits: As a lead assessor, I have undertaken several ISO 9001:2000 internal and third party audits including surveillance and certification audits.
