Technology Plan Goals 0 Instructional Technology Plan s Goals should align across learning standards to accelerate teaching and learning. 0 Instructional Technology Plans should have a transparent and inclusive development process to ensure curriculum and instruction drive the core components of any technology planning.
Instructional Technology Readiness Assessment 0 This portion of the plan allows each district to compile a comprehensive inventory of all their educational technology assets (hardware, software and infrastructure connectivity) and will be used by the district and NYSED to determine the State of Instructional Technology Readiness of the district. 0 This Indicator is generated based upon the data submitted by the district to the Technology Readiness Tool (TRT). It is a baseline in terms of district readiness for digital learning.
Connect Ed Federal Initiative 0 Broadband Equity The existing Digital Divide in schools poses a great challenge. Fewer poor and minority students have access to high-speed Internet services at school and at home than more affluent students. 0 Broadband infrastructure Broadband Infrastructure serves as a key engine of economic development, enabling communities to attract, retain, and expand job creating businesses and institutions. 0 E-Rate Modernization NYSED, as the state partner for Federal E-Rate funding,becomes a key promoter of access to broadband and the skills to use it effectively ensuring that E-Rate modernization and additional funds for broadband connectivity reaches the schools in need.
Online Learning 0 The Office of Educational Technology provides guidance for Online and blended learning initiatives. Effective since June, 2010. Regulated by Commissioner NYCRR 100.5(d)(10) Essential for Education Reform Agenda.
