His 20 years of national and international experience encompass a diverse range of project types that include design for urban districts, new communities, campus environments, and waterfront regeneration projects. Educated at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the University of Toronto School of Architecture, Dennis brings a collaborative approach to his urban design work, integrating landscape, planning and architecture with a critical understanding of the forces that shape contemporary cities. He led the urban design effort for the firm s first-place-prize-winning Olympic Green the master plan for the main site of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was design principal for the 2003 AIA Honor Award-winning urban design plan for the Schuylkill Gateway District in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also led Penn Connects: A Vision Plan for the University of Pennsylvania, which won a 2007 Honor Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and a Merit Award from the Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA), as well as a 2006 Honor Award from the Boston Society of Architects/Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). His design leadership has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the P/A Awards, SCUP, The Waterfront Center, and The Boston Society of Architects, as well as numerous international design competition juries.
