FORTUNE 00 and FORTUNE 1000 GEORGIA AND METRO ATLANTA RANKINGS 201 Georgia Continues to Add FORTUNE 00 and 1000 Headquarters Bolstered by Atlanta s corporate dominance, Georgia ranks sixth among states with the most FORTUNE 00 headquarters according to the June, 201 issue of FORTUNE magazine, up from ninth in 201. Twenty companies headquartered in Georgia rank among the latest FORTUNE 00, with 33 among the FORTUNE 1000. All but three increased revenue from the previous year, a testament to the strengths of Georgia s business advantages. Ninety percent of FORTUNE 00 companies have a presence in Georgia. Atlanta ranks third among cities with the highest FORTUNE 00 concentration, behind New York and Houston. With Chicago, these four cities are the only ones in the United States ranked in the top 20 for Global 00 company headquarters. In the past six years, three new FORTUNE 00 companies moved to metro Atlanta: First Data ranked No. 2), NCR ranked No. 12) and PulteGroup ranked No. 3). Previously on 201 FORTUNE 1000, metro Atlanta-based AGL Resources and ARRIS Group are now 201 FORTUNE 00 companies ranked No. and 92, respectively.
