Four are part of the euro. Crisis has revealed that their main weakness is not in the private sector but in the public one. Because of competition private sector has improved competitiveness, but the deterioration of public finance represents a constraint for future growth and could affect negatively the private sector. In this essay I argue that the liberal thought has provided the basis the federalist and Europeanist thought which are at the basis of the European construction. I review this thought starting from Erasmus and continuing with Kant, Cobden, Mises, Robbins, Hayek and Einaudi. Title of publication 4: (2013) : Luigi Einaudi, the architect of Europe?, Rivista di Studi Politici Internazionali, July-September, 2013, n 319. Is Luigi Einaudi the architect of what we call today the European Union? This question emerges from his European writings and a comparison with the various treaties which landmark the history of the building of Europe. Einaudi s proposals for a European Federation are also part of treaties which have never been ratified: i.e., the European Defence Community (Edc) and the European Constitution. In this article I go through some of his European writings, showing how his considerations and proposals have provided the foundations to the European treaties and how much they have shaped their structure. Title of publication 5: (2012) Title of publication 6: (2013) The Contribution of the Italian Liberal Thought to the European Union. Einaudi and his heritage, Atlantic Economic Journal, Vol.40, n.2 December 2012. (DOI) 10.1007/s11293-012-9336-0. The Italian classical liberal tradition of Federalism and European integration is well founded. Starting with Luigi Einaudi, who took up the heritage of Carlo Cattaneo, it has continued with Giovanni Malagodi, Giovanni Demaria, and Bruno Leoni. A foresight, often impressive, is the thread linking Einaudi s writings on European federation. Between the twenties and the early fifties of the 20th century, Einaudi traced with great precision the profile and many details of a politically and economically unified Europe Cave Europa! Turkey 2023: The Alternative to the EU of an Economic Super-Power, Journal of Social Studies, Adam Academy, n. 1, June 2013 11-27, ISSN: 2146-4936, pp 11-27 Once it will be evident that Europe will not open its doors to Turkey a political and economic dynamic that could change equilibriums in Europe and Asia could take place. High growth is likely to continue in Turkey, making the Country the next global power, presumably by the beginning of the decade 2020-30. Turkey will so extend by large its influence on the nearby region: the Western Balkans (especially Albania, Bosnia and Macedonia) and the Turkic Republics. The interaction of these elements could determine a convergence of interests toward deeper and deeper political and economic integration. 3
