STUDENT ANNUAL RECOGNITION AND AWARDS The College of Pharmacy Awards Committee administers the selection processes for student awards and recognitions on an annual basis. FACULTY AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING GRADUATING PHARMD STUDENT OF THE YEAR Award: $500 honorarium, engraved plaque and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To an outstanding senior chosen by faculty and sponsored by Alumni. RHO PI PHI JOE NICHOL AND COLUMBUS ALUMNI AWARD Award: Cost of the pharmacy boards and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To a graduating PharmD student in good academic standing, involved in community outreach programs, and a commitment to scholastics. DOCTOR OF PHARMACY OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD Award: Engraved plaque, $200 honorarium Selection Criteria: To a PharmD student who demonstrates outstanding service to the College. MYLAN EXCELLENCE IN PHARMACY AWARD Award: $250 honorarium for educational materials, certificate and an engraved pharmacy photo Selection Criteria: To a graduating senior in the top 25% of his/her class academically who has demonstrated high professional motivation, unique ability to communicate drug information, and the intent to enter practice upon graduation.

EXPERIENTIAL EXCEL AWARD Award: Engraved plaque Selection Criteria: To a student or students who accomplish the following during rotations: went above and beyond expectations and received Honors recommendations. APhA ACADEMY OF STUDENT PHARMACISTS (APhA-ASP) SENIOR RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE Award: Certificate Selection Criteria: To a student who advanced the profession of pharmacy through outstanding service to the APhA-ASP chapter at OSU. COLLEGE OF PHARMACY PROFESSIONALISM AWARD Award: Certificate Selection Criteria: To a senior APHA member who exhibits the ideals of professionalism and excellence in patient care in all aspects of the academic pharmacy career and demonstrating exceptional service and commitment to the profession through involvement in professional organizations and other extracurricular learning opportunities. OHIO PHARMACISTS ASSOCIATION (OPA) STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD Award: $100 honorarium Selection Criteria: To a student who shows outstanding leadership in The Academy of Students of Pharmacy. NATURAL MEDICINES COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE GRADUATION AWARD Award: Certificate and access to a number of online resources Selection Criteria: To a graduating senior who has exhibited interest and expertise related to natural medicines, including efforts to minimize adverse effects due to an inappropriate use and to encourage an evidence-based approach to natural medicines. THE STEPHEN W. BIRDWELL STUDENT AWARD Award: $1,000 honorarium and engraved plaque Selection Criteria: To a graduating senior who shows leadership among peers, congeniality within the College, service to others in the College, and contributes to esprit de corps within the College. WOMEN S PHARMACY CLUB OF COLUMBUS AWARD Recipient: P3 Student Award: $100 honorarium, certificate and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To a P3 who has shown strong academic performance (min. cum. GPA of 3.0) and significant contributions to the profession. Preference is given to women who have traits necessary to balance the challenges of being a female professional student. ACADEMY OF PHARMACY OF CENTRAL OHIO (APCO) STUDENT AWARD Recipient: P2 Student Award: $200 honorarium, certificate and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To a P2 student in good academic standing with a GPA > 3.0; leadership/contributions to student organizations, professional initiatives, community service activities, etc.; characteristics which exemplify the ideals of the profession. THE PAULINE M. BOYER/KAPPA EPSILON ALUMNI AWARD Recipient: P1 Student Award: $200 honorarium, certificate and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To a P1 female in good academic standing, is a leader, and has characteristics which exemplify the ideals of the profession. TIMOTHY MOORE AWARD Recipient: Graduate Student Award: Certificate and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: Awarded to a health system pharmacy graduate student who demonstrates strong communication skills, in good academic standing, and whose research project will have meaningful impact in advancing health systems pharmacy. AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF THE HISTORY OF PHARMACY STUDENT RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE Award: Certificate and AIHP books Selection Criteria: To a student who shows superior achievement in pharmaco-historical study or activity by earning the best GPA in a course devoted to pharmaceutical history as judged by the instructor PHARMACOGNOSY AWARD Award: $250 honorarium, engraved plaque and name engraved on the college composite plaque Selection Criteria: To a graduating senior who has demonstrated high interest and achievement in pharmacognosy. BSPS STUDENT IMPACT AWARD Award: $200 honorarium and engraved plaque Selection Criteria: To a BSPS student who demonstrates outstanding professionalism, leadership, and service to the College.

BSPS FACULTY AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING GRADUATING STUDENT OF THE YEAR Selection Criteria: To the outstanding graduating BSPS student of the year. BSPS MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY AWARD Selection Criteria: To a graduating BSPS student who has demonstrated interest and achievement in medicinal chemistry through undergraduate lab research. BSPS PHARMACOLOGY AWARD Selection Criteria: To a graduating student based on grades in PHR4400, PHR4600, and elective pharmacology courses as well as undergraduate research in a pharmacology related area. PHARMACY PRACTICE AND ADMINISTRATION AWARD Selection Criteria: To a graduating student who shows significant involvement in pharmacy practice during his/her BSPS program years. DIVISION OF PHARMACEUTICS AND PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE AWARD Selection Criteria: To a graduating student who demonstrated interest and achievement in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry. WIL RESEARCH STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD Selection Criteria: To a graduating student who showed a positive effect on student life, contributed to the enrichment of the College and/or community, and demonstrated the following traits: ability to motivate self and others, creativity, collaboration, integrity, and balance.
