Getting Ready for GRI G4 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Training Course
Take your sustainability reporting in the right direction with our GRI-certified training course The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is one of the most widely used frameworks for sustainability reporting. Developed through a consensusseeking multi stakeholder process, the framework sets out the principles and indicators that organisations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance. Why report on sustainability? In today s dynamic climate, with increased scarcity of raw materials, climate change and ecosystem degradation, companies are facing stakeholders demanding greater transparency than ever before and over more than just finances. It is therefore no surprise that publishing standalone sustainability reports is a fast-rising trend around the globe, especially so in the ASEAN region, with the number of sustainability reports rapidly increasing year-on-year since 2008. Globally, 80% of the sustainability reports adopt or make reference to GRI guidelines +. Understanding GRI s guidelines will help you to create communications that convey your organisation s sustainability efforts effectively and to an international standard as well as allow comparability across companies. In Thailand, the number of companies publishing sustainability reports adopting the GRI framework has increased exponentially, from 2 reports in 2008 to 32 in 2014. This signals that companies in Thailand are becoming increasingly aware of the importance and usefulness of sustainability reporting with integration of sustainability into their strategy. In general, a sustainability report is rapidly going from being a nice-to-have to a must-have. Sustainability reporting, done well, can help an organisation to: Better manage its sustainability risks Engage stakeholders in a more structured manner Set targets and improve performance Enhance credibility, accountability and transparency Benchmark itself against other companies in the industry Improve its brand and reputation as a responsible organisation Join our GRI Certified Training course today to get a head start in the right direction.
