The Custom Printing Process Bringing your custom printed project to life is a 3-step process that infuses your designs into textiles and fabrics, producing eye-popping graphics. Our turn-around times are fast and under special circumstances, projects can be rush delivered. CAD Department Your custom print job begins in the CAD Department. One of our Designers preps your data for the printing part of the process. If you have a concept but can t implement it, we can help. Let our CAD Department turn your vision into reality. Color Department We use the latest digital technology for custom color matching. Our digital printers are large-format inkjet printers designed to use heat-transfer inks. Digital printing has the added advantages of showing greater design detail than screen printing, as well as allowing designers the ability to use as many colors as they like in their designs. We do NOT print on the fabric. Direct-to-fabric is the lowest quality technology on the market. We print on paper and then transfer the image using large heat-transfer presses. We utilize wide and narrow printers to help reduce paper waste. We only use earth-friendly water-based inks.
Transfer Machines When heat activated, these inks transform into a gaseous state that allows the inks to penetrate the fibers of the materials, infusing or embedding an image into the textile. This type of printing is permanent because the image actually becomes part of the material. The result is a tattoo-like transfer that will not peel or crack, and last for many years. The end result is an elegant, soft look with brilliant color reproduction.
