Pentaho Reporting Overview All organizations use reporting in one form or another. As a result, reporting is considered a core Business Intelligence (BI) need and is frequently the first BI application deployed. Pentaho Reporting allows organizations to easily access, format, and distribute information to employees, customers, and partners. Pentaho Reporting provides access to information in relational, OLAP, or XML-based data sources, and delivers output in popular formats including Adobe PDF, HTML, Microsoft Excel, Rich Text Format, or plain text. Comprehensive formatting capabilities give report designers the ability to highlight exceptions, create groupings, and add totals and subtotals. Pentaho Reporting delivers this information securely to end-users via corporate portals, e-mail, or custom applications. Pentaho Reporting provides unmatched deployment flexibility. Whether you re looking for a standalone desktop reporting tool, web-based reporting, or comprehensive business intelligence (BI) including reporting, analysis, and dashboards, Pentaho Reporting allows you to start small and scale up if your reporting needs grow in the future. Pentaho Reporting addresses the full spectrum of reporting needs. Pentaho TM Pentaho Reporting 2
