At the conference Small College & University professionals love talking about their experiences and their institutions. Ask us about them. We ll tell you! When you get a business card from someone you meet at the conference, write some brief notes on the back of the card where you met and what you discussed. Then follow up with an e-mail or a hand-written note a couple weeks after the conference.
Beyond the conference Join the Small Colleges & Universities listserv. Contact your Region Representative and ask to get involved. Each Region Rep has State Representatives to engage in communication and recruitment not all of them are filled. Injecting our work into Student Affairs Graduate Preparatory Programs

Community college professionals at the NASPA conference Pick up a ribbon that says Community Colleges and wear it on your name badge. (There are several others to choose from, too, including your Region s.) Be brave and start up conversations with seasoned community college professionals. Follow up with emails and schedule information interviews in regard to NASPA or about specific jobs or colleges.
