History of Electrical Engineering in Serbia The first lecture in electrical engineering: held in 1894, at The Great School of Belgrade, by Prof. Stevan Marković it was followed by consultations with Nikola Tesla and Mihajlo Pupin University of Belgrade was founded in 1905 2
History of our School In 1935 mechanical and electrical engineering established the common department at the Technical School of the University of Belgrade The School of Electrical Engineering was established as a separate institution in 1948. 3

Graduates of our School During the first 64 years: 19253 graduated engineers (B.Sc.) (~one per day) M.Sc. Fellows 2101 2 year prog. 977 1 year prog. (~one per week) 620 Ph.D. fellows (~one per month) Nowdays, about 350-400 students graduate with BSc degree every year 5
Enrolement, based on accreditation B.Sc. program in Electrical Engineering and Computing: 540 new students per year B.Sc. program in Software Engineering: 120 new students per year M.Sc. program in Electrical Engineering and Computing: 500 new students per year Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering and Computing: 100 new students per year 6
What Happens with our Graduates? They can find employment in Serbia quickly and easily More than one third of graduated engineers are employed in the western countries Diploma is recognised and easily accepted as BSc or MSc in other countries There is an alumni organization BAFA that supports the school and present students 7
The Structure of our Studies The main (bachelor) diploma after 4 years of study (240 ECTS) The first year is common for all Electrical Engineering and Computing modules Final thesis (project) in the last semestre is worth 10 ECTS Master studies last one year (30 ECTS for master thesis, 30 ECTS for 5 courses) Doctoral studies with 9 courses and PhD thesis last 3 years (180 ECTS) 8
