Elliott Wave Ultimate We have received numerous questions about how we use Elliott Wave Theory with our Elliott Wave Ultimate System (EWU) so we put together a Q & A. We call EWU a system and within that we teach strategies to capture every part of the market cycle; so trends, end of trends and sideways markets. We have created simple instructions for finding and triggering each one of the 6 strategies within the system. Elliott Wave Ultimate as you will soon find out is about the convergence of Elliott, Fibonacci and Harmonics. It is a very powerful system. Elliott Wave Q & A will follow.
1. What is Elliott Wave Theory? Elliott Wave Analysis is a theory of probabilities based on the observations of Ralph Nelson Elliott, who noted that the cycles or waves produced by the price action of financial instruments repeatedly formed patterns based on investor psychology. The change in investor psychology is reflected in the price action and impacts how trend and counter-trend moves are established. Elliott Wave Theory can be applied to any market including Forex, Interest Rates, Stocks, and Commodities. Once the patterns are found, trades can be triggered on any trading platform in Forex, CFD s, Stocks, Options, and Futures. Pick your market, find the pattern, and trigger the trade.
2. What are the Elliott Wave Patterns? Overall, the trends progress in a 5-wave movement in one direction, followed by the 3-wave correction in the opposite direction. Waves 1, 3 and 5 are called impulse waves and are characterized as directional movement within the up or down-trend. Waves 2 and 4 are the interruptions that go against the trend known as setbacks, corrections or pauses. After a 5-wave sequence, the market will either correct or completely reverse. It depends on the Elliott Wave count on the bigger time frame which is why we always do a top-down approach to see where we are in the big picture.
3. I use Technical Indicators so why should I learn Elliott Wave Theory? Elliott Wave Analysis can be combined with any technical indicator. It measures investor psychology, which allows you to determine the highest probability for the next market move. You can combine this knowledge with technical indicators to determine where you want to trigger a trade and in what direction, long or short. In that way, you do not have to take every trade that your strategy says to take; rather, you can filter out the low probability trades using Elliott Wave Analysis. For example, do you know that approximately 70% of the time the market corrects? If you learn to identify when price is about to enter a Wave 1, 3 or 5 trend move, you can increase the probability of success. If your current strategy is already successful, it is quite possible that Elliott Wave Analysis can further improve the success rate.
4. Can I learn Elliott Wave by reading a book? Why take a Course? You will find the rules and guidelines in books and on the Internet, but our firm knows how to implement this theory in real markets. We are experts in creating profitable analysts and traders using Elliott Wave Analysis. You may think you understand the theory, but when it comes time to apply it, how successful are you? We teach you how to approach a blank chart and apply the wave counts correctly. We have also devised a methodology to count the waves without really counting the waves, so you can join us to become a great analyst by learning how to apply all the rules, a great trader who can read the waves without being a consummate wave counter, or both.
