CONVENIENT Complete your Master of Business Administration (MBA) online. The online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Morehead State University is designed for persons who have completed undergraduate degree programs in any discipline from an accredited institution and wish to receive additional training in business. Those persons with undergraduate degrees in business disciplines may complete the MBA degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours. Others who have earned an undergraduate degree in other majors/minors can finish the MBA with 30 graduate hours in addition to the necessary foundation (prerequisite) courses. The entire MBA program can be completed from anywhere in the world. The MBA degree program s mission is to provide quality online educational opportunities in business for degree and course completion, designed for individuals seeking to improve their management success and focused on working managers. The Online MBA Program is fully accredited by AACSB International the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Applying for Admission Admission to the MBA program requires completion of the following: 1. Complete an Application for Admission to Graduate Study online at www.moreheadstate.edu/gradschool. 2. Request official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts be sent to the Office of Enrollment Services, Morehead State University, Graduate Admissions, 100 Admissions Center, Morehead, KY 40351. 3. Submit an acceptable GMAT or GRE score. Applications will not be processed until an acceptable score is received. GMAT: A minimum score of 400* is required at the time of application. (If you have earned a master s degree from a regionally accredited institution, the GMAT is not required.) *Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale will need a GMAT score higher than 400. To determine what score is needed, use the admissions index formula below. The index must equal at least 1,000. INDEX = (Undergraduate GPA * 200) + GMAT Score GRE: The score needed to gain admission is determined by reviewing the total score and sub scores from the GRE exam. 4. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required. Students whose undergraduate GPA is below 2.5 may be admitted to the MBA program if their GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate study was at least 2.75 with a minimum composite index of 1,050. Conditional Admission Students may be conditionally admitted to the MBA program and may take only foundation courses. Once foundation course requirements have been completed, he or she will be unconditionally admitted.

Our online MBA program was the first of its kind to be offered in the state of Kentucky. Students can complete the MBA program from anywhere in the world. International Students International students must take the TOEFL. A score of 525 on this test is required for program admission. Students scoring between 525 and 550 are required to complete Writing I and Fundamentals of Speech Communication or equivalent. Application Deadlines Application deadlines for admission into the MBA program are as follows: SPRING SEMESTER All application materials must be postmarked no later than December 1. FALL SEMESTER All application materials must be postmarked no later than August 1. SUMMER TERMS All application materials must be postmarked no later than April 15.

Foundation Courses Applicants that do not possess an undergraduate degree in business may be required to complete the foundation course sequence in addition to the 30 hours necessary to satisfy the degree requirements. What foundation courses that may be needed, if any, can only be determined by a review of the applicants undergraduate and graduate transcripts. The foundation course sequence, or comparable courses or experience, must be completed prior to full admission with at least a 3.0 average and no grade of less than C in any course. The foundation course sequence is as follows: BUSINESS FOUNDATION COURSES ACCT 600 Survey of Accounting OR Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting ECON 600 Survey of Economics OR Principles of Macroeconomics & Principles of Microeconomics FIN 360 Business Finance College Algebra and Business Statistics Note: Neither of the graduate level survey courses (ACCT 600 and ECON 600) satisfy the requirements of the 30 hour MBA program. They are prerequisite courses only. Note: All foundation courses are offered online. Foundation courses may also be completed at a regionally accredited college or university. Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Health Systems Management Track The MBA with Health Systems Management Track can be completed with a minimum 36 semester credit hours. The MBA core remains the same, but HSM students are required to complete 12 elective hours in the HSM area as outlined below. Frequently Asked Questions How long will it take for my application to be processed? It may take two weeks or as long as two months for an application to be processed, depending upon submission of official transcripts, GRE/GMAT scores, etc. How am I notified of my admission status? The Office of Enrollment Services will notify you in writing of the admission decision. You will also receive information about who has been assigned as your academic advisor and how to set up your student accounts. Will I have to come to campus to complete my degree? Faculty are encouraged to invite their students to campus, but attendance at these sessions will not be a requirement. When students are invited to an on-campus session(s), alternate activities or arrangements must be made for those who cannot attend. How many courses can I take per semester? You can choose to take 3-15 credit hours during the fall or spring semester. Nine hours is considered fulltime. A minimum of six hours per semester is required to receive financial aid. The maximum load is 15 hours for a semester. A graduate assistant may not exceed 12 credit hours during a regular semester or four credit hours during a summer term. How long does it take to complete the MBA degree? Full-time students can complete the MBA degree in about one calendar year. Most students in MSU s MBA program attend on a part-time basis and generally earn their degree in about 2-2 1/2 years. Will exams be given online? Proctored exams may be required in some courses. Faculty will provide this information in the syllabus and students not taking the proctored exam at a location identified in the syllabus must cooperate with faculty to identify a proctored examination location and method acceptable to the instructor. What will my diploma have on it when I graduate? Students who complete the MBA program will be conferred the Master of Business Administration degree.
