Introduction This user guide will explain how you can link your chosen back-office software (BOS) with Old Mutual Wealth s online platform, to receive valuation data on your clients ISAs, Collective Investment Accounts, Collective Investment Bonds and Collective Retirement Accounts. What is back-office software? Back-office software enables financial advisers to efficiently manage their clients accounts through an automated link to a range of provider companies. It can receive up-to-date valuations to keep client records current, which can save you time, reduce costs and increase efficiency. When you request a valuation on your back-office software, an industry-standard message is sent to the Old Mutual Wealth online platform, which then automatically returns the most recent valuation to the software. Depending on the capabilities of the software, valuations can be requested in bulk for all policies, and/or regular automatic updates scheduled. Some back-office software providers allow you to import electronic adviser remuneration statement data. This is called Commission Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). We can offer this through our online platform where it is facilitated by the software please speak to your software provider. For specific queries regarding particular back-office systems and the services they offer you should contact your back-office software provider directly. 2

TROUBLESHOOTING If you are experiencing issues with the back-office link, such as some policies not appearing as expected, please check the following: Have you entered the correct username and password into your back-office software? (See previous page.) Can you see the policy on the Old Mutual Wealth platform? If you can, there is likely to be an issue with how the feed was instructed in the back-office software. Is there a switch going through on the policy? If so, the valuation will not show until all of the trades have settled. If you have any queries, or need to resolve problems with the back-office link, please contact your back-office software provider in the first instance. 7
