Ultimate 48 Hour Author Blueprint Why Does Your Book Matter? First & foremost, welcome and congratulations on downloading this E- Book which is designed to show you the steps to being credible in your niche and how being an author can accelerate this for you. My name is Natasa Denman and little over 4 years ago, I decided to embark on the world of business and start a coaching practice from home. To say the start of my business was a struggle would be an understatement. I remember putting in 70-80 hours each week in addition to 3 days working and raising and juggling an 18 month old toddler. During that first year I also ended being pregnant with my second child and gave birth to her at the end of the first year in business. I chose to invest in systems and courses that would show me the quicker strategies to achieve growth and also had my own mentor from 3 month into my journey. This was very important and an integral part to my success later. I was embarrassed that my mum has to buy my kids clothes and I remember the time I was so upset that I couldn t even buy a toy for my toddler. So after many months of hard work and no cash flow, I had a meeting with a fellow business owner who suggested that I write a book. I had a lot of knowledge but never valued it.. or even knew that I had it, I couldn t see myself as an author and then when I sat with my fellow business owner, I saw what others had seen me in but I never saw in myself. And I am sure, so many of you are in that category as well.. So the next month I put a plan in place and worked out a way to commit to myself to complete a project as big as writing a book. My experience of writing my first book was hit and miss, uncertain if I was doing the right thing and at the time I felt I had no one to ask anything about the process. I found a company overseas from whom I purchased a self publishing package and within 6 months of starting this project I was holding my first book. writing on my computer, the research I did to find a self- publishing company (which is a horror story that I will share later on) and the money I spent completing the project was ten times a bigger investment in time, energy and money compared to the Ultimate 48 Hour Author Blueprint I will be sharing with you in this E- book. When I received my first book, I was beside myself. The feeling was surreal and I truly felt this would give me the edge and point of difference so others would start to notice me as a serious business owner that would bring enormous value to her clients. When you have not had much interest in your business, this was the momentum I was craving for, so I was not going to send people away just because I had a newborn baby. I started developing systems and other products to bundle and package up my services that added value and also replaced me having to sell my time for money all of the time. So what did I learn from this? That anyone who has a story to tell can write a book. It was the same with my subsequent books. I wrote them as I know that my experience and knowledge is unique and that is exactly what everyone that has read my books tells me. You have to be courageous enough to get started telling your story. I have been able to spread my message even further appearing in newspapers, magazines and on radio. Before that, I was just another coach in a highly competitive field. Why Write Your Own Book? Before I answer that I should really first share with you who this ebook is for. I could say it is for any business owner that has a story to tell. I could say if you are a speaker, a trainer, a coach, a mentor, a health professional, an entertainer, an educator etc. etc. But the truth is I know so many people who are in these spaces that are so frozen by the fear of success and not being good enough that they make any excuse as to why they don t have the time or the money or the need to write a book. If I knew then what I know now, I would have written all of my books in just 48 hours. Unfortunately I didn't and I went through years of developing this Blueprint which now enables me to write my own books that quickly as well as share it with those that have been thinking, wishing and putting of their book projects. Here are the 3 Common Reasons Why You Won t Write a Book: 1. Procrastination you never get around to it, as you never make it a priority. I have seen and heard people talk and think about writing a book for 10, 20 and sometimes 30 years. 2. Fear am I good enough? I am not an expert what if people find out (this is just plain old BS) 3. Commitment to self believing in your own abilities to commit to the completion of the project. Most people I meet don t believe that they are capable of writing a book. They tell me, I am not a writer, I know my stuff but I am not sure if anyone would want to read it. Others don t believe that they would be able to get everything they know out of their head and into a structured book so once again, their doubts start to creep in leaving them petrified in fear and stuck in taking action. Here is some Information I want you to consider around Limited Mindset: A Limited Mindset is the established set of attitudes and behaviours held by a person that are rigid and inflexible. Normally those with a Limited Mindset: - Continue to do the same thing over and over even if they are not getting good results - Fail to invest in someone to show them otherwise - Think their way is the only way and the right way If you don t learn to shift Your Mindset from Limited to Growth this is what will happen: - Stagnation in Business - Boredom - Lack of growth with clients, cash flow and time - Give into your excuses every time TIME & MONEY - Self Sabotage patterns that have a firm grip on you Natasa Denman 2014 8

Be willing to fail your way to Success Why Self Publishing Is Critical? I mentioned the horror story at the start of this E- book around my experience of self- publishing my first book. Well this is what happened: I had no expert help around what to look for in a publisher so I looked online and after chatting to a couple of publishing companies, I decided to go with a package that promised an amazing outcome. The company was an overseas supplier and all contact ended up being via email. It was impersonal and time consuming to say the least. I felt like just a number. The book print quality was not the same as the original shown to me and I only found out I had no rights to my book and re- printing it myself when it was too late. Not only that, the phone calls began soon after the book was published. This went on for two years. This company was trying to sell me marketing packages at extraordinary prices to help me promote my book. This time I was pretty clever to recognise that taking that kind of risk with someone that I don't trust was a no go zone for me. I ignored the phone calls and explained to them I am not interested time and time again as I was going amazingly on my own with the marketing and promotions I was executing myself for next to no cost. They didn t stop for two years until one day I totally lost my cool and decided that the nice way I was handling this predicament was obviously not working. I found a local publisher that I was connected through networking and she helped me re- do my first book with a new cover, barcode and print locally for half the price per book. Amazing! I was stoked, had the personal attention and have now had her publish 3 of my books as well as all of our authors books without any lock in commitments or further selling beyond the printing of their books. Sometimes one of the biggest reasons people don t write a book is simply because they don t know where to start. When you are doing it for the very first time you just don t know what you don t know. Over the next pages I will be taking you through some questions and processes to get your book started for 48 Hour Success. There are 3 questions you must answer before you do anything further. Answer those in the space provided below: 1. For what Purpose do you want to write a book? Circle your top 3 answers: Personal Project/Lifelong dream, Credibility, Positioning, Build my business, Share my knowledge/passion, Leverage, Lead Generation, Key Person of Influence, Make money from Book Sales, Best Seller Status, Make a difference, Other: 2. Who is the Specific Audience for your book? Think about the exact person that will be reading your book. Are they male or female, how old are they, are they single, married, have children, key frustrations they are having, are they employed and what is their income etc. 3. What Problem is your book going to Solve? Here you need to delve into the Top of Mind problem your Specific Audience has. For example: Those that want to lose weight have the top of mind problem of weight loss struggles. Natasa Denman 2014 11

The real underlying problem is not just about shifting their weight but also their mindset. You cannot sell mindset, but you can sell weight loss. My favorite saying is Sell people what they WANT, Give them what they NEED! In this case they want weight loss, but they need mindset coaching. That is also why my first book was The 7 Ultimate Secrets to Weight Loss. Now it s your turn: Top of mind problem my book will be solving: The very next step is to unpack your intellectual property around this topic. This will give you the Skeleton of the book and position you in a place where you can see the end in mind = Your book! Step 1 - I normally recommend writing a 12 Chapter book with potentially a Bonus Chapter as Chapter 13. The reason behind this is that 12 is a great chunk and works well for the average sized book which is around 160 pages. Also I think further around the leverage you can create beyond the book: - 12 Chapters turns into a 12 Step Program Manual - 12 E- books - 12 Webinar Series you can run - 12 Month Training Program - 12 CD Boxed Set - 12 Topics for Workshops you can run The possibilities and potential is amazing. If you organize the information this way, it makes it so much easier in the long run. So lets have a play with that. Brain dump 12 Broad Topics around how you would go about solving the problem for your Specific Audience. I am including a template I like to use when helping others with during a Book Unpack Session. When you have listed your Broad Topics in the 1-12 spots, you may find that you come up with more than the 12. Choose where those other topics will fit nicely as a sub- topic in one of the others. You will need this later in the content that you will be producing. Step 2 - Put your Marketing hat on and get your juices flowing around creating sexy names for your chapters. For example: Goal Setting is a Broad Topic that bores people to death. If you changed that to Future Design it sounds more appealing and makes the reader curious to find out what is in that chapter. Make use of Hypnotic words and phrases, which you can find thousands of on Google. Have fun! Step 3 - Work out the logical order the reader should be experiencing the information you are sharing and enter that in the last column. Book Title: Tagline: In the Book Title and Tagline, I recommend using Hypnotic language and really hitting on the top of mind problem your specific audience is having. Book titles that are impactful are normally 1-5 words long, whereas the Tagline can be much longer and it must identify whom the book is for and the problem that it is solving. Congratulations if you completed the above exercises, you have now unpacked your book and can move over to the unpacking each of the chapters. The Chapter Unpacks Structuring information in a logical order can be challenging if you have never done it before. There are also many ways of doing it that will give you an outstanding result. In the Ultimate 48 Hour Author Blueprint we use the sequence of Why, What, How and What If. This sequence can be followed when delivering the information live in webinars and seminars. Here is a brief description of what goes in each: WHY explain the benefits of what they about to read in the chapter. Why should they continue reading, how will it benefit their success in resolving their problem. Share statistics, facts, metaphors and the contrast of not following the information outlined. WHAT define what will be discussed in the chapter. This is a short outline of what you will be revealing. HOW delve into the nuts and bolts of the tools, tips and strategies you want to share and teach your reader. Natasa Denman 2014 14

WHAT IF deal with any objections that may arise in your readers mind after reading that chapter. Each Chapter unpack should have around 1 page of notes that you will be able to use a prompters when you are actually verbalizing the content of your book (you said what?). Yes the only way you will get your book completed in just 48 Hours is to speak out the content and then pass over the hard work of transcription to someone that does that for a living. You are the expert in your niche, you know the information that you want to share inside out and speaking it out is efficient, easy to read and saves tons of time and effort. I estimate that you will cut down the book writing process by 10 times over the old school way of slaving away at a typewriter or computer. Other Considerations around the preparation: - Write your About the Author section - Write a Sexy Blurb for the back of the book - Think about and write your dedication - Think of what offers you will have at the back of the book - Collect testimonials from past clients - Decide on what you will put in your Introduction and Afterward THE REAL DEAL - THE 48 HOUR AUTHOR WEEKEND RETREAT!!! Post Weekend Journey You have completed all of the content and you are now ready to submit it to a high quality transcriptionist to type out your wisdom. There are many local and overseas transcriptionists you can hire to do this for you. I suggest testing out minimum 3 that has English as their first language and submitting a 5 minute audio before hiring them for the full 7 Hours of book recordings. Work out and negotiate a time frame, which should be no longer than 2 weeks to deliver the work. The best thing is for them to supply you with chapters as they are continuing to work on others. This way you can begin the clean up process and feel on top of it as it is coming through bit by bit. Please Note: You cannot submit RAW Transcription pulled together in a manuscript to a Publisher. You will have some idiosyncrasies in your speech that you will need to adjust through the clean up process. Estimate around 1.5 hours per chapter to get everything in order. When completed, cut and paste it all in one big document with the order you want it to appear in. This is the order we recommend: 1. Testimonials 2. Dedication 3. Table of Contents 4. Introduction 5.
