Fit For Purpose FDM s Bespoke Training Service FDM covers all aspects of the training lifecycle, including a range of diagnostic and consulting services. Our flexible approach allows training to be delivered at a time and location of your choice by our highly professional trainers. We consider our training as a niche market, concentrating our efforts in the finance sector, particularly within Investment Banking. We also have several strategic alliances with international software houses, delivering training to their clients on their behalf. In all FDM projects we start with a proven methodology that subsequently evolves and changes to fit the precise needs and objective of our clients. We tailor our service to meet your requirements rather than try to amend your needs to fit a rigid deployment method. Flexibility and an achievable learning contract underpin our ethos of training excellence. We aim to form true partnerships with our clients adding real value to their overall project. Our Project Managers and Trainers will work closely with your project team to ensure that all deliverables and objectives are achieved. Regular service reviews will be undertaken and success will be measured against a number of pre-agreed criteria that will form the basis of our Service Level Agreement. FDM was engaged to design, build and deliver end-user application training around Knowledge Center s DMS product and KC1View for one of Knowledge Center s largest clients. FDM and KC worked in partnership to deliver the client the system and just in time end-user training matching business process according to job role. Results that matter A track record of success HSBC - INFO CRM HSBC Private Bank created an integrated solution to replace the previous Client Relationship Management system, INFO. The new solution comprised of a portal to enable a single entry point to two new applications, CRM and EFOS. FDM Group trained up to 500 users in this new Global Portal solution. Training took a Just in Time approach to avoid skills fade and to ensure all 500 users were ready for the launch date. Due to delegate time restraints, FDM trainers conducted four one-hour sessions per day. In the remaining time each day training administration was conducted, including chasing no shows and re-booking delegates. At project commencement, a detailed training needs analysis was undertaken to determine the needs of the different delegate groups by job role. This document made a number of recommendations regarding the training roll-out including the preferred delivery mechanism. Once this was complete, training development started. FDM was tasked to deliver the following collateral: Delegate guide Trainer guide PowerPoint slides Glossaries & quick reference guides Assessments FDM s method for documentation was to blend business process with system functionality. This documented and reproduced a comprehensive training guide covering the Portal, EFOS and CRM. FDM also devised a train the trainer course for HSBC to facilitate knowledge transfer from FDM Group trainers to PBGB trainers on the content taught on the PBGB course. It was also to assist in training individuals on training delivery skills where applicable. Royal Bank of Scotland Global Academy RBS required an integrated global training approach to ensure its employees capabilities were consistent in every location and to accelerate readiness. RBS s Academy will be both a physical and a virtual learning centre that offers a global standard curriculum to all employees. The Technology Academy will be based in India and will deliver training to all employees worldwide. FDM is currently managing a team of five trainers and Documentation Specialist who are coordinating with RBS SME s to develop the course material for five specific streams. DST International - HiPortfolio Suite FDM partnered with DST International to deliver client training in the HiPortfolio, HiInvest and AWD suite of products. During the partnership FDM designed and developed approximately 70 training courses to support their various front and back office systems. Prior to any client training delivery that took place, a training needs analysis was performed to ensure that the right training solution was offered to the right staff and the learning outcomes had been agreed. All training was supported by a comprehensive delegate guide. Newly developed courses were piloted to a selection of DSTi internal staff before going live to clients. To optimise learning, various techniques were incorporated into the programme, including: Live presentations Consolidation exercises Q and A sessions with visiting consultants Focus groups Live data manipulation The hands-on training programme was in modular form to promote flexibility. FDM was able to customise any course or create a new course to fulfil the client s business needs. The course catalogue included: HiInvest HiPortfolio AWD OpenFrontOffice Overview and Navigation AWD Fundamentals OpenOrders Standing Data AWD Overview OpenPerformance Market Data Implementing AWD OpenReportingClient Confirmation and Settlement Knowledge Enabler OpenCompliance Cash Management Encorr OpenMessenger Accruals and Dividends AWD Reporting Fund Manager Introduction Income and Expenses AWD Reporting Fund Manager Advanced Corportate Actions Advanced Admin Broker Introduction Accounting and General Ledger RIP Broker Advanced Supervisors Course MIS MAP Course Valuations and Unit Pricing AWD Architecture Over the years FDM s team of highly experienced trainers became an integral part of DSTi, training both internal staff and clients on a world-wide basis. DSTi is delighted to have FDM Group as our training partner, delivering client training world-wide in the HiPortfolio, HiInvest and AWD suite of products. Their experience and know-how in the training arena allows FDM group to effectively train our staff in these products and then train our clients in how to use the software to its best advantage. FDM provides a team of highly experienced trainers with a proven knowledge of our industry. They quickly became an integral part of DSTi, producing a HiInvest training guide, and then training DSTi staff before going live to clients.
