INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT MANAGEMENT MAIN CONTRACTORS COMPANY PROFILE Sapphire House, 18 Gladstone Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 2BQ Telephone:- 020 8665 6226 Fax:- 020 8664 8927 Email:- sales@sapphirecontractors.co.uk Website:- www.sapphirecontractors.co.uk

INTRODUCTION Sapphire As a company, Sapphire was formed in 1982 to cover the need in the refurbishment market for a company which could provide the skill and expertise of larger organisations, combined with the service more generally associated with smaller companies. This assessment of the market was an accurate one, because since that time the company has gone from strength to strength, increasing not only the work force, but also the range of services provided. Recognising the growing demand for a total contract service to support the steadily increasing list of clients, the company was reconstructed in 1987 by acquiring an established electrical contracting company. The company also relocated to new and larger premises from which an improved service could be provided. Much of Sapphire s growth has been achieved through existing clients placing repeat business, together with additional contracts being won from new customers through the personal recommendation of existing clients. The complete project is handled in-house by skilled and experienced personnel who achieve the results efficiently, on time, within budget and to complete satisfaction of the client. The company is proud of its motto we give the service others only talk about so much that it is boldly displayed on all of the companies delivery and service vehicles.

TOTAL REFURBISHMENT Sapphire The refurbishment work carried out is diverse and embraces office boardrooms, computer rooms, receptions, factories, warehouses, industrial units, schools, colleges, hospitals, work canteen, test rooms and total office layouts. CONSULTATION Every contract enquiry, irrespective of size begins with a discussion between Sapphire and the potential client, their representative or architect, to establish an understanding as to the precise needs of that customer s requirements. Once those objectives have been established, Sapphire is then able to submit proposals. PLANNING AND APPROVAL On the basis of the first meeting and bearing in mind the clients objectives, Sapphire would prepare a proposal for the installation in question. The proposal would contain recommendations for design and would include Sapphire s own working drawings, produced on our in-house CAD Drawing Facilities. Suggestions for materials, colours, textures and styles would also be provided at this stage and submitted to the client for approval, together with a fixed price estimate of costs.

IMPLEMENTATION AND INSTALLATION Once awarded a contract, Sapphire would nominate a Customer Services Manager plus a highly skilled team to carry out the installation works and see the project though to completion. It is the responsibility of the nominated Customer Services Manager to ensure that the schedule is adhered to, that last minute changes to the plan may be accommodated, and that a regular progress report is provided to the client, wherever necessary. Particular care and attention is paid to Building and Fire Regulations. Throughout the entire installation, there are constant consultations with the client to ensure total satisfaction at all times.

CONSTRUCTION (DESIGN MANAGEMENT) 1994 Since 31 March 1995, the CDM (1994) Regulations came into force, bringing with them numerous liabilities for both contractor and client alike. When selecting the Design and Build Contractor for your project, you can be assured that Sapphire can take on the burden of Planning Supervisor and Principle Contractor and adhered directly to the regulations in terms of both site safety and supporting paperwork. Our experience gained in this field is both practical, and via a constant training program, we ensure all our staff are aware and updated with the procedures and regulations.
