Opportunities for Infants In most studies breast feeding reduces the risk of obesity in offspring. Improve the awareness of pediatricians regarding the increased risk of obesity, impaired glucose metabolism and diabetes in offspring of mothers with GDM/preexisting diabetes. Create early dietary and exercise interventions in high risk offspring.
