Nr. 4 May 2005 AN INVESTOR AND PRESS SERVICE 0F CTS EVENTIM AG www.eventim.de EIN PRESSE- UND VERANSTALTERSERVICE DER CTS EVENTIM AG, MÜNCHEN www.eventim.de CTS SHARES increase of 22.6%). Key Q1 2005 figures for Group Q1 2005 Q1 2004 % Change Revenue in m 53.0 41.6 + 27.3% EBIT in m 8.1 4.7 + 71.2% EBITDA in m 9.2 5.6 + 64.6% Net income for year in m 5.0 2.8 + 82.3% Consolidated earnings in m 3.4 1.9 + 79.1% Morgan Stanley (London) starts coverage of CTS In addition to Berenberg Bank, DZ Bank (Designated Sponsor), Bayerische Landesbank (Designated Sponsor) and Nord LB, CTS shares will also be covered in future by Morgan Stanley in London. In its initiating coverage of 12 May, analyst Anuj Mutreja quotes a price target of 32 euros and a fair value of 37 euros. The current share price is around 28 euros (status: 23. May 2005). In the opinion of analysts at Morgan Stanley in London, online ticketing will be the key driver of revenue and earnings growth in the next two to three years, due to the trend towards online ticket sales. Accordingly, Morgan Stanley London expects EPS growth of 43% and 36% in 2005 and 2006, respectively, and raises its target price to 37 euros. Online migration of ticket sales will be the key driver of revenue and earnings growth in the next two to three years. We forecast 43% and 36% EPS growth in 2005 and 2006, respectively. (...) If CTS hits its online target, our fair value rises to 37 Analyst: Anuj Mutreja; Tel.: + 44 (0)20 7425 3731, anuj.mutreja@morganstanley.com. 2 2006 FOOTBALL WORLD CUP Second sales phase no let-up in the run on tickets Interest among football fans in World Cup tickets is unabated in the first 24 hours of the second phase of ticket sales (2 May 15 November 2005), no less than 9,000 hits per second were counted on the special World Cup server. The allocation system is the main reason for this flood of demand whereas the first 812,000 tickets offered in the first phase (1 February 31 March 2005) were allocated by lottery, the system for the second phase is first come, first served. Orders for tickets are now processed in the order they were received. Potential ticket holders can only order Team Specific Tickets (TSTs). refunded, minus a processing fee. Once a team has qualified, the ticket holder can go to the all three preliminary round matches (TST 3), the round of sixteen (TST 4), the quarter-final (TST 5), the semi-final (TST 6) and ideally the final (TST 7), depending on which category he or she has chosen. If the team drops out after the preliminary round, the ticket is automatically transferred to the winner of the group. If the team loses one of the later matches, the ticket applies to the respective winner and qualifies for the next round. With the winner to the final Speed and strategy are both important in the second sales phase. People wanting tickets must decide on a particular team, even though the qualifying rounds have not been completed yet. This means that countries for which tickets have been ordered might not actually qualify for the World Cup. In such a case, the TSTs reserved are void, and people who have ordered such tickets receive their money More tickets in December At the closing date for this issue, 24 Team Series were no longer available. The major football nations, such as host country Germany, Argentina, England, Brazil and France, were already sold out after the first phase. Fans will be given another chance to buy World Cup tickets in the third sales phase (1December 2005 15 January 2006). Up to 300,000 single tickets will then be going on sale. Fast, exciting, sporting Top international athletes gather in Berlin for the 64th ISTAF meeting on 4. Being quick off the mark brings benefits not only for athletes in some seating categories, early bookers can profit from lower prices. For example, all five concerts to be given by rock legend Bruce Springsteen were snapped up within 26 minutes. Tickets for the Vertigo tour by Irish band U2 were sold out after two and half hours. For the Backstreet Boys concert in Cologne, their first stage appearance in Germany for five years, presales lasted a mere five minutes.
