Different Parts of FIRECentral Toolbar: Menu Bar From the menu bar you can access different modules, view help contents, or exit FIRECentral. Tabs Click on the Tabs to move to different modules. Fire Training Search Dialog TRAINING SEARCH DIALOG From the Training Search Dialog you can search by course date, shift, training type, training category, location, company, outside trainer, or by personnel number. COURSE DATE 1 -- To search by a Course Date, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Course Date. 3 -- Enter the Beginning Date and press the tab key or click on the drop down list and select a date from the calendar. 4 -- Enter the Ending Date and press the tab key or click on the drop down list and select a date from the calendar. 5 -- Click on the Add button located just to the right. 6 -- Then click on the Select button. Your search results will be listed in the SHIFT 1 -- To search by Shift, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Shift. 3 -- Click on the drop down list and select a shift. TRAINING TYPE 1 -- To search by Training Type, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Training Type. 3 -- Click on the drop down list and select a Training Type. 5

TRAINING CATEGORY 1 -- To search by Training Category, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Training Category. 3 -- Click on the drop down list and select a Training Category. OUTSIDE TRAINER 1 -- To search by Outside Trainer, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Outside Trainer. 3 -- Enter the Outside Trainers name. PERSONNEL NUMBER 1 -- To search by Personnel Number, click on drop down list. 2 -- Next, select Personnel Number. 3 Click on the square and select a personnel member from the personnel search dialog. 6

Fire Training Drop Down List Click on the drop down list to view codes that can be selected for the current field. Double Click You can double click on a record to open it. search for an existing training record add a new training record delete a training record FDID Fire Department Identification (FDID). A unique identifier assigned by the state to identify a particular fire department within the state. The FDID must be exactly fire digits. Use this field to enter your Fire Department Identifier, as assigned by your state. COURSE DATE The date of which the training took place. Enter the date of which the training occurred or you can click on the drop down list and select a date from the calendar. SHIFT Identifies the shift that was trained. Click on the drop down list and select the shift that applies to this training. add attendance record delete attendance record TRAINING TYPE The type of training that was conducted. Click on the drop down list and select the training type. CATEGORY The category that applies to the training. Click on the drop down list and select the category. LOCATION Identifies the location where the training took place. Click on the drop down list and select the location. 7

Fire Training Cont. COMPANY Identifies the company/station where the training took place. Click on the button just to the right of FDID field, then click on the in the Company field to select the company. Press enter twice to select the default FDID and Company. To select a different FDID enter the correct FDID and press the tab key. Next, double click on the company you wish to select. COMPANY NAME Identifies the name of the company where the training took place. FDID Identifies the FDID of the company where the training took place. TRAINER Identifies the name of the person or company that provided the training. Enter the trainer in the space provided. TRAINING DETAILS Click on the to add training details, highlight the training details record and click on the to delete training details record, or double click on the training details record to view. ATTENDANCE Click on the to add an attendance record, highlight the attendance record and click on the to delete attendance record, or double click on the attendance record to view. 8

Fire Training Details Window CLS/DRILL Identifies whether the training was a class or a drill. Click on the drop down list and select the class/drill. HOURS Identifies the total number of hours of the class/drill. Enter the total number of house of the class/ drill. SUBJECT Identifies the subject of the class if applicable. Click on the drop down list and select from the list that best describes the subject. DEPARTMENTAL TRAINER Click on the and select the personnel member who was the departmental trainer. 9

Fire Training Attendance Window ATTENDEE NAME Identifies the names of the personnel who attended the training. Click on the and select the personnel member who was the departmental trainer. PASS/FAIL Identifies whether the personnel member passed or failed the course. Mark the box that applies. GRADE Identifies the grade of the course if applicable. Enter the grade of the course. RECERTIFICATION DATE Identifies the date when the personnel member needs to be re-certified. Enter the date or click on the drop down list and select the date for re-certification. 10

How to Add, Edit, & Delete a Training Record? Adding an Training Record 1) From the FIRECentral Toolbar click on Training Tab, Next click on the 1st icon, Enter/View Training Record. 2) Fire Training window is displayed. 3) From the Fire Training window click the Add button. 4) Enter the correct information starting with Course Date field in top left hand corner. 5) When finished click the Apply button to save changes or the Ok button to save changes and return to the FIRECentral Toolbar.? How to View and Edit a Training Record 1) From the FIRECentral Toolbar click on Training Tab, Next click on the 1st icon, Enter/View Training Record. 2) Fire Training window is displayed. 3) Click on the Find button with the left mouse button. 4) Fire Training Search Dialog window is displayed. 5) Choose the Type of Selection, enter data to search for, click the Add button, then click the Select button. To list all training records, simply click the Select button.? How to Delete an Training Record 1) From the FIRECentral Toolbar click on Training Tab, Next click on the 1st icon, Enter/View Training Record. 2) Fire Training window is displayed. 3) Click on the Find button with the left mouse button. 4) Fire Training Search Dialog window is displayed. 5) Choose the Type of Selection, enter data to search for, click the Add button, then click the Select button. To list all training records, simply click the Select button. 6) Double click on the training record to delete. 7) Finally, click the Delete button with the left mouse button to to delete the training record. 11
