GRAPHICAL RULES ENGINE The b4 Controller hosts a Graphical Rules Engine (GRE), which allows flexible method for visualization, modeling and ad-hoc implementation of IT processes Graphical modeling for how to react if certain events occur within the b4 controlled IT infrastructure Automated rule checker detects syntax and semantic errors during the modeling process b4 detects managed system events and changes state of objects accordingly If an event or combination of events occurs, b4 triggers a specific rule to fix the problem The Rules Engine executes and controls the activated rules A notification per e-mail or SMS is sent to inform about the status of the operation Detected events can be automatically assigned to Incident (Ticket) Management Systems (ITIL)
The Graphical Rules Engine within the b4 controller allows the administrator easy creation of automation rules using a simple drag & drop method.
