Pavement Engineering Overview Pavement engineering is the field upon which AID was founded and has since grown. Pavement evaluation and design remains one of AID s core areas of concentration. Often considered a niche field within geotechnical engineering, pavement engineering includes the evaluation and design of pavement structures associated with roadways, airfields and ports. AID offers both full-service pavement testing and engineering. In the testing realm, AID own and operate a full arsenal of state-ofthe-practice and state-of-the-art equipment including nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment. AID provide more than just a testing service, employing highly qualified engineers with both graduate degrees and professional licenses in pavement engineering. Ride Quality Services Overview AID provides comprehensive ride quality services including measurement during design and construction on pavements, highways, bridge decks, parking garages, airports etc. A roadway roughness profile prior to construction provides the contractor/client with a better understanding of the existing roughness profile while post construction roughness measurement identifies areas where corrective action are required- thereby maximizing pay adjustments in accordance with project contract specification. Engineer/Project Engineer/Manager - Pavements About AID AID is a growing consulting firm located in central New Jersey. AID offers professional services in non-destructive evaluation (NDE) of highway infrastructure (bridges and pavements), pavement evaluation and design, geotechnical design and subsurface investigation, subsurface and utility mapping, and forensic studies. AID owns and operates an array of NDT equipment, including a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), various air-launched and ground-coupled GPR antennas, and many others including high-speed profiler and walking profilers. Job Description This is a full-time position with full benefits in the rank of Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Manager for a qualified pavement engineer. The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of pavement engineering principles and be thoroughly familiar with the 1993 AASHTO Pavement Design Guide, the AASHTO Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide, and Pavement-ME.
