Electricity Bills There are 3 types of electricity bill that departments will see Monthly/Quarterly - Non Half Hourly metered from our supplier Monthly - Half Hourly metered from our supplier OUED Split bill

Electricity Bills (Monthly/Quarterly) Use on Oracle Details on next slide Received by buildings which are small and not on a university distribution network 13 digit MPAN (Meter point number) 21 digit full MPAN gives more information and is unique to supply point A supply point can be thought of as the physical point at which a service enters the building and stays the same regardless of changes in meters or suppliers

Electricity Bills (Monthly/Quarterly) Now for a more detailed look at consumption and cost Take note of dates the bill is for Check Address Meter serial number (kwh) (kwh) Use in kwh x = x = Applies if VAT is at 20% Added to cover admin and metering costs Total to pay

Electricity Bills (Half Hourly) Half Hourly bills are supplied to large sites with a maximum demand of over 100kVA These site have meters owned by the suppliers that record consumption every half an hour

Electricity Bills (Half Hourly) Take note of dates the bill is for Maximum demand /kva/yr kwh Energy Costs 164782.1 Transmission Charges Est Triad demand 1264kVA x p/kva/mnth Std loss adjustment rate 8.189% 7.3%

Electricity Bills (Half Hourly) Distribution charges 164782 9.5% 41.9% 48.6% kva x 28 = p adds 97% p adds 15% p adds 2.5% p/day To day rate Published charges Or 3.19% to night rate for Green unit rates Red Unit Amber Unit Green Unit 16:30 to 19:00 Mon-Fri inc Bank holidays 09:00 to 16:30 and 19:00 to 20:30 Mon-Fri inc Bank holidays 00:00 to 09:00 and 20:30 to 24:00 Mon-Fri & 00:00 to 24:00 Sat and Sun Also there is a reactive power charge of 0.251p/kVArh if your power factor is less than 0.95

Electricity Bills (OUED Split) We have tried to keep our split invoices as simple as possible. These are always derived from half hourly bills Embedded in the kwh cost are all the charges shown on the previous two slides
