Release Notes Tely HD Software Version 4.6 April 2015 New Features The following new features are available with this release. Calendar Integration Calendar integration brings a new level of simplicity for starting video calls and joining video conferences to Tely HD Pro users. Upcoming calendar events are displayed on the Home screen enabling 1-click video calling. Based on configuration preferences, the Home screen can display only calendar events or calendar events and contact speed dials.

A calendar event displays the following items Meeting Title Meeting Host Start date and time Meeting duration Address or meeting room number to be called If the Tely HD Pro software is unable to determine the video address or meeting room number from the calendar event, the user will have the option to manually specify the video address or meeting room number. Supported address or meeting room number patterns by call type include: SIP Video Calls o Pattern: sip:<video address> o Examples: sip:joe.smith@company.com or sip:192.168.1.120 Skype Video Calls o Pattern: skype:<skype username> o Example: skype:joe.smith.tely Tely Cloud Video Calls and Conferences o Pattern: Tely Cloud:<skype username 1>; <skype username 2>; <skype username 3> o Example: Tely Cloud:tely1; tely2; tely3 Skype to Phone o Pattern: tel:<phone number> o Example: tel:+16503183400 Blue Jeans Meetings o A typical meeting invite for a Blue Jeans meeting is shown below. The Tely HD Pro software uses the information contained in the calendar invite to determine the meeting room to call. If any passcode information is included in the calendar invite, it is prepopulated and obscured on the passcode screen. ************************************************ To join or start the meeting, go to: https://bluejeans.com/164888838?ll=en Connecting directly from a room system? 1) Dial: 199.48.152.152 or bjn.vc 2) Enter Meeting ID: 164888838 -or- use the pairing code Just want to dial in? (http://bluejeans.com/numbers) 1) +1 408 740 7256 +1 888 240 2560 (US Toll Free) +1 408 317 9253 (Alternate Number) 2) Enter Meeting ID: 164888838 ************************************************

Zoom Meetings o A typical meeting invite for a Zoom meeting is shown below. The Tely HD Pro software uses the information contained in the calendar invite to determine the meeting room to call. If any passcode information is included in the calendar invite, it is prepopulated and obscured on the passcode screen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join from PC, Mac, ios or Android: https://www.zoom.us/j/8694474177 Or join by phone: +1 (415) 762-9988 or +1 (646) 568-7788 (US Toll) Meeting ID: 869 447 4177 International numbers available: https://www.zoom.us/zoomconference Or join from a H.323/SIP room system: Dial: 162.255.37.11 (US West) or 162.255.36.11 (US East) Meeting ID: 869 447 4177 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Configuration of a calendar source is quick and easy for an administrator. To access Calendar settings use the Menu button and navigate to Settings -> System -> Calendar. Three calendar sources are supported: Google Calendar Microsoft Office 365 Blue Jean meeting schedule OAuth is used for secure delegated access to Google Calendar and Microsoft Office 365. Once authenticated with the calendar service, an access token is provided to the Tely HD Pro software to access the calendar events. For Blue Jeans meeting scheduling, a username and password is required to access the account s calendar list. Broadsoft BroadWorks Device Management To date, Video-as-a-Service for meeting rooms has failed due to the high cost of delivery. The combination of the Tely HD Pro and the BroadWorks platform is a game changer for service providers. With full support for Broadworks Device Management, the Tely HD Pro can be easily provisioned like a VoIP phone or any access device. For full details on using the Tely HD Pro with the BroadWorks platform, see the Broadsoft Partner Configuration Guide for the Tely HD Pro in the BroadSoft xchange portal.

This feature only applies to the Tely HD Pro Edition product. Tely Device API Want to control or manage the Tely HD from a 3 rd party application? The Device API provides a REST API to execute any on-screen capability. The API provides support for all device settings and calling types. New APIs and license controls have been add as part of the v4.6 software release. To utilize the Tely Device API in v4.6, a license must be applied to the Tely HD. This license can be applied via the API (platform/activations) or through the User Interface. During this introductory period, the Tely Device API license for a Tely HD is available free of charge but subject to change in the future. Contact Tely Labs Customer Support to obtain your Tely Device API license. This feature applies to the Tely HD Base Edition and Tely HD Pro Edition products. Other Features Added Other features added as part of this release include: A new Restriction was added to ignore calls not from a contact. This restriction is quite useful when your Tely HD Pro is placed on a public IP address and you want to eliminate SIP spam calls. By default, time is automatically set based on the geolocation of the Tely HD. Access to a NTP server is still required but the offset will automatically be determined. Resolved Issues The following major issues have been resolved in this release. Camera white balance settings for cool and warm were reversed. (Tely-2809) On occasion, the wrong expiration date was displayed in the Expires In field on the Activations screen. (Tely-2746) The POST command for the Tely Device API was not in the correct format. (Tely-2743) SIP calls video muted for a long period of time sometimes caused the Tely HD Pro to reboot. (Tely- 2661) Notified the user when a Blue Jeans call fails due to time not being set properly and certificate validation fails. (Tely-2635) The region field in the Technical Details was not translated. (Tely-2572)

System Monitor NAT and Firewall Check values were not translated. (Tely-2571) The screen save did not display external pictures when Internal + External is selected. (Tely-2551) Incorrect Not Connected message was displayed to the user when setting up the network connection. (Tely-2550) Unplugging the Ethernet Cable can cause loss of static IP settings. (Tely-2416) Interoperability The table below summarizes interoperability support verified in this release. Manufacturer Product/Service Acano Acano CoSpace verified at release. Siemens VaaS-t Videxio Vidyo Zoom RealPresence (Desktop and Mobile) v3.1 and earlier (See Known Issues) OpenScape SBC VaaS-t service verified at release. (A public IP should be used for the Tely HD Pro or a SIP-aware firewall should be deployed.) VMR service verified at release. NAT Traversal must be set to Automatic when using a private IP address. Vidyo Gateway connecting to VMRs and Vidyo Clients. (A public IP should be used for the Tely HD Pro or a SIP-aware firewall should be deployed.) Zoom Service verified at release Known Issues The following are known issues and any available workarounds for this software release. The Tely HD Pro displays no video when connected to a Polycom Real Presence Desktop running v3.2 or higher. (Tely-1281) Calls ended by the Cisco Jabber client can result in frozen video on the Tely HD Pro endpoint. To clear the frozen video, the Tely HD Pro endpoint must end their call as well. (Tely-349) The Tely HD does not restart video after hold and resume by a Skype client on Ubuntu. You can work around this issue by toggling the Audio Only button on the Tely HD menu and the Ubuntu Skype client will start receiving video again. This scenario works correctly with other Skype clients. (Tely-389) When a Tely HD Pro registers to the Polycom DMA using TLS, the Allow certificate validation skipping for encrypted signaling option on the DMA must be checked. Checked is the default value for the Allow certificate validation skipping for encrypted signaling option. Unchecking this option will resulted in failed calls for the Tely HD Pro due to lack of support for mutual TLS. In deployments where a DNS A record resolves to two values for the SIP Server, the Tely HD Pro will not connect properly if the connection to the first server is refused. As a workaround, the Tely HD should be configured with an explicit server address. (Tely-395) The Audio Pod can reset during calls when connected to some non-powered USB hubs. If this happens, try an alternate USB hub or powered USB hub. (Tely-746) Calling between two Tely HD Pros on the same private network when NAT traversal is enabled will fail. As workaround, NAT traversal should be disabled on one of the Tely HD Pro endpoints. (Tely- 985)

Calling between two Tely HD Pro endpoints on different networks with NAT traversal set to automatic will fail after 30 seconds. Use the Manual NAT traversal option when deploying in this type of scenario. (Tely-986) NAT traversal set to Manual on the Tely HD Pro will only work if NAT bindings (port) on the Router/Firewall are 1 to 1. The port in the NAT binding should be the same as the initiating port. NAT traversal set to Automatic on the Tely HD Pro will only work if NAT on the Router/Firewall creates one binding for every source address irrespective of the destination address. If the NAT creates multiple bindings per destination address for one source address then Automatic NAT traversal on the Tely HD Pro will not work. The Skype Echo Test contact is not displayed on the Home screen when enabled. (Tely-2109) telyshare information is displayed in the status bar for Tely HD Base Edition endpoints during a call, even though telyshare is not supported. (Tely-2137) TLS calls fail when the Tely HD Pro is registered with a Cisco VCS. (Tely-800) The Tely HD Pro is unable to display video received from the ORION MCU. (Tely-1129) The audio quality for a Tely HD Pro may be poor when connected to a Pexip MCU. The Pexip MCU incorrectly negotiates Opus at 48 Khz even though the Tely HD Pro indicates that it does not support this sampling rate. The workaround is to disable the Opus audio codec. (Tely-2799) The Tely HD resets the volume level of the Jabra Speak 400/500 with Wireless Bluetooth after reboots. (Tely-2440)
