PROVEN SAVINGS IN CALIFORNIA S EDUCATION SECTOR Cabrillo Unified School District (CUSD) Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) California Lutheran University (CLU) Half Moon Bay, California After securing bond funding to address energy and water efficiency, CUSD selected CLEAResult to identify the savings potential associated with energy, water, transportation and generation improvements. The project resulted in the following estimates: an annual cost savings of $181,000, a total rebate potential of $250,000, and a savings-to-debt ratio of 1.65. Fresno, California CLEAResult has worked with FUSD on more than 37 energy efficiency projects across its numerous school sites. To date, the projects have helped FUSD reduce its total energy usage by an estimated 4.6 million kwh and 37,684 therms. In addition to cutting hundreds of thousands of dollars from its annual energy expenditures, the projects netted FUSD more than $650,000 in total rebates. Thousand Oaks, California CLEAResult has worked with CLU on a number of projects including the identification of natural gas savings opportunities for its aquatics center, upgrades to high-efficiency domestic water heating boilers and the integration of custom demand and control systems for domestic water heating in 12 university dorms. The projects resulted in an annual cost savings of $76,093 and a total rebate potential of $45,073.
