I think that Malmö is one of the world s best kept secrets Name: Jason Holness Age: 24 Study: Global Political Studies Origin: Jamaica I feel that Malmö has given me such a warm welcome since the moment I arrived which has got better as time goes on. To sum it up in on word, my experience here has been fantastic. I love international relations, peace and conflict and human rights and the programme Global Political Studies at Malmö University incorporate all three of these topics. It was perfect because all three of my passions were in one place! My programme has really helped me to develop many skills which will be important for me in the future. I feel that I have really needed to take my own responsibility for my learning and to take my own initiative when planning my work. 4

It s like being in a family There are about as many different types of living arrangements as there are types of students in Malmö. Some live in student apartments, some have co-operative living arrangements, and some sublet apartments. However, whatever your living arrangements, the city of Malmö will be just around the corner. Name: Megan Quimbre Age: 20 Origin: France I live at the student dormitory called Rönnen with a nice large balcony to hang out on and the bedrooms are pretty spacious too. It has a large kitchen and we often have floor dinners which gather everyone together. My room is 18m2 which is one of the smallest, but it is still big! We have everything we need here including a laundry room and Willy s (supermarket) is close by so it is very convenient. To me, it feels like a small town in one building. We have movie nights, themed parties and are never bored! I must say, Rönnen is a really special place, it s like being in a family. I really love Malmö. I love that it is near the sea and the parks and one of my favorite places is Västra Hamnen. When it snowed in January, it was really unusual for me to see frozen sea!
