To be the school of choice where academic achievement, personality development and social advancement are used to produce generations of scientists who are global knowledge seekers Preparing generations of knowledge seekers who will lead their communities using science. This can be accomplished by: Developing and implementing a challenging and stimulating curriculum using student centered learning Effectively integrating sophisticated technological tools in teaching, learning, and assessment Establishing partnerships between the school and postsecondary education institutions as well as community and industrial partners Our Values are: Integrity, Teamwork, Creativity, Inspiration, Community Service and Diversity 6

Board Chairman s Message Al Resalah International School of Science was founded to achieve the vision of our wise leadership in developing generations of dedicated scientists abreast of all modern technology whilst maintaining our Islamic and Arab cultural identity. This irmly established scientiic ediice is characterized by maintaining customs and traditions which contribute to building a distinct society that possesses the virtues of morality and ethics, has the scientiic competence and life skills to succeed and contribute to the construction and development of the country. We become more proud whenever we see our students achieving good conduct and academic excellence, which has a positive impact on the community development. Our students prominent and active role in understanding their classmates, teachers, and all school staff is a title of civilization and progress. I encourage you to respect all those in the school, support them, and work as a team. I want you all to be cooperative and promote the spread of virtue and good morals inside and outside the school. With each passing day you get closer to graduating from this great scientiic school, where you have spent the most beautiful days of your life and became acquainted with your lifetime friends, with this, I would like to remind you that the High School Diploma is achieved only by those who are committed and have good initiatives. I wish you a distinctive academic year bursting with distinction and knowledge. Board Chairman Mr. AbdulNasir Alowais 7

Principal Principal s Message Most, if not all, educators agree that school lessons of today should be paired with practical work where students are engaged in applied lessons to enhance thei skills. Technology is undoubtedly ubiquitous in its existence in schools. Integrating technology into teaching goes beyond introducing basic computer software programs to include effective curriculum integration. Last but not least, students as well as parents appreciate the need for sports and extracurricular activities that contribute to students sense of healthy competitiveness and belonging. For all these reasons, the school will be making brilliant changes this year. Truly exceptional aspects that inluence teaching and learning will characterize the upcoming academic year. One of these aspects includes intensive laboratory experiments where science will become more interactive for students. Another equally important aspect to be featured this year will be the introduction of touch screens in all classrooms, as well as new computer labs and the distribution of computer tablets that contain digitized curricula to all students. This year we will increase the instructional hours of English, science, and mathematics with the purpose of ensuring the students master the prescribed academic and performance standards. This leads us to another important feature of this academic year where learning outcomes will be essentially improved and tailored to meet the needs of all students. Meeting the needs of students will include those with special needs; the school has recruited specialists to diagnose and assist teachers to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs).The school administration is determined to nurture a true learning environment that meets the expectations of all students through hiring and recruiting qualiied staff supported by all means of modern technology. The school will be increasing its attention to cultural and extracurricular activities by incorporating such activities in its program and recruiting a specialist to nurture student talents. Sports will also have its great share of attention, so more physical education teachers will also be recruited. Finally, I hope whatever we do to improve the school performance is NOT like a shot in the dark. Thank you! 8

Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. John Dewey The future belongs to those people who believe in their dreams. I will never forget the moments of my irst step towards my future. It was through the school gate which opened windows to the other world for future, achievement, and struggle. There we spent the most memorable time with our friends. I am about to achieve my goal as a student in medical college and serve my country positively. So may Allah guide me to the best path. However, I would like to thank my family, my teachers who played a big role in guiding me, and all my friends who supported me. Also, special thanks to my uncle for providing us with education in this school to be better future leaders. Afra 14
