On the DOR Internet home page, click Find e-services for tax & other remittances. 3
Click Sales & use/solid waste. 4
Click File and pay sales tax. 5
Click File and pay tax. 6
Type your User ID and Password. Click Login. 7
Click (Sales and Use Return) 8
Click the down arrow and click a collection period to select it. NOTE You can go back 11 months or forward 1 month to file previous or future returns. HINT The application will default to the current collection period. See instructions, upper left. 9
Type your name, phone number, and email address. HINT To move from field to field, press tab or click in the field. 10
Click in the check box if you wish to donate your collection allowance to education. Click in the check box again to de-select it and enter the collection allowance on line 8. Click Next. HINTS If you enter a collection allowance, and it is not correct, the collection allowance will autocorrect when you move to a new field or click Next. 11
Error messages display in blue, at the bottom. More than one error may display. Correct the error(s). Click Next. NOTE Line 1 is gross sales including exempt sales and taxable sales. The normal scenario is line 1 - line 2 = line 3 +additional accrued purchases. 12
Review this page. Scroll down. From this point forward, you will see a note reminding you whether or not you chose to donate your collection allowance to education. 13
Click Enter Payment. 14
Click the calendar next to Debit Date. Click a date on the calendar, to select it. Click or to move from month to month. The debit date is the date you want funds withdrawn from your bank account. NOTE The Debit Date cannot be today or any gray or blue date. Only bank days can be selected (black, bolded dates). You can select a future date to warehouse your payment. Learn about warehousing. You have 2 options for entering banking information. 1- Click the checkbox to use your banking information already on file with the Florida Department of Revenue. This is the preferred method. OR 2 Type complete banking information. NOTE When you elect to use bank information on file, those fields are grayed out. The bank account has leading asterisks and only the last four digits of the number display. 16
When you elect to type bank information, the full bank account number displays in black with no asterisks. If you neglect to provide the required information in the correct format, error messages display in blue. Correct any errors. NOTE The bank account number must be entered twice to help prevent typing errors. 17
Click on down arrows and click a bank account type to select it (checking or savings and corporate or personal). 18
Scroll down. Click Next. NOTE If you change contact information at this point, the change will appear on the confirmation page. 19
Review return and payment information. Scroll down. This is your last opportunity to make changes. If you are satisfied with information displayed, click Submit Tax Return and Payment Now, at the bottom. 20
See the confirmation page. Print this page. Scroll down. Click Back to Menu. NOTE From this page, you cannot go back to make changes to the return or payment. You are still logged in. Click Logout or Exit to exit or to enter a new account. Click Back to Menu for additional activity on the same account. 21
Options on the menu, include: Reprint Confirmation page(s), Cancel pending submission(s), and View Cancelled submissions(s). Click Reprint Confirmation page(s). 22
Click the blue confirmation number you wish to reprint. HINT The first six digits of the confirmation number is the date the submission was confirmed. 23
See the confirmation reprint page. Print this page for your records. Scroll down. Click Back to Menu, at the bottom. 24
On the Menu: Click Cancel pending submission(s). 25
To cancel a pending submission, including warehoused payments, you must do so before 5:00pm, ET on the same day you filed. Click a blue confirmation number to select it. 26
Click YES to cancel a pending submission. 27
When you cancel pending submissions, that option is grayed out on the menu. Click View Cancelled submission(s) to see a list of all cancelled submissions. 28
See the cancelled submissions. Click RETURN TO ENTRY PAGE. 29
PAYMENT ONLY (ex. Notice of tax action, audit payment, additional payment, returned item re-payment) Click Other Sales and Use Tax Payments for additional activity on the same account. 30
Click the down arrow and click a collection period to select it. Caution Do not use the mouse wheel to scroll down the page. You may accidentally select the wrong collection period. NOTE The collection period goes forward 1 month and back 11 months. 31
Click the down arrow and click a payment type to select it. 32
If you select Audit Payments, a box displays to provide the nine-digit audit number. 33
Click the down arrow next to Debit Date. Click a date on the calendar, to select it. Click or to move from month to month. The debit date is the date you want funds withdrawn from your bank account.
