EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE EQUIVALENCIES Education Equivalence: When specific education levels are required, one year of additional, relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. For example: Four years additional experience may be substituted for a HS diploma, GED or required vocational training, and two more years of relevant experience for a total of six, would be equivalent to an Associate s Degree. A HS diploma plus 2 years additional experience is equivalent to an Associate s Degree. Experience Equivalence: A HS diploma plus 4 years additional experience is equivalent to a Bachelor s Degree. Each year of education or training beyond High School may be substituted for one year of general experience.
