Compliance to the Environmental Clearance Conditions Sl, No Specific Conditions Compliance to the conditions 1 The gaseous emissions (S0x, NOx,.& HCL) particulate The gaseous emissions (S0x, NOx,.& matter from various process units shall conform to the HCL) particulate matter from various standards prescribed by the concerned authorities from time to time. At no time the emission levels shall go beyond the stipulated standards. In the event of failure of pollution process units are conform to the standards prescribed by the concerned authorities from time to time control system(s) adopted by the unit, the respective unit shall not be restarted until the control measures are rectified to achieve the desired efficiency. 2 Ambient air quality monitoring stations shall be set up in the downwind direction as well as where maximum ground level concentration are anticipated in consultation with the SPCB. 3 The company shall install cyclone separator to control the emissions from the.boiler 4 Spent solvents shall be recovered as far as possible & recovery shall not be less than 95 percent. During purification process, solvent vapours are emitted tom purification tanks as fugitive emissions. Action shall be taken to reduce the emission as far as possible. Use-of toxic solvents like Methylene. Chloride (M.C.)etc. shall be minimum. All venting equipment shaii have vapour recovery system. 5 Industry shall switch over to aqueous based coating film in place of use of Methylene-Chioride in coating operation, in a phased manner. 6 Industry shall switch over to Use of non halogenated solvents in place of a halogenated solvents in a phased manner 7 The company shall undertake fallowing Waste Minimization measures a. Meeting and control of quantities of active ingredients to minimize waste b. Reuse of by-products from the process as raw materials or as raw material substitutes in other processes c. Use of automated filling to minimize spillage d. Use of close feed system into batch reactors e. Venting equipment through vapour recovery system f. Use of high pressure hoses for equipment Ambient air quality monitoring stations will be setup The company installed cyclone separator to control the emissions from the.boiler Spent solvents are recovered as far as possible up to 95 % Industry will be switch over to aqueous based coating film in place of use of Methylene- Chioride in coating operation, in a phased manner. Industry will be switch over to Use of non halogenated solvents in place of a halogenated solvents in a phased manner Waste Minimization measures are being taken up as per the suggestions and agreed for these points

clearing to reduce wastewater generation 8 The industry shall monitor hazardous air pollutants and submit the report to, Ministry/CPCB/SPCB. 9 Fugitive emissions in the work zone environment, product, raw material storage area shall be regularly monitored. The emissions shall Conform to the limits imposed by SPCB, 10 The effluent generation shall not increase 10.561m3/d (5461 from process and washings, 2.5m3/d of domestic effluent. 1.5m3/d.from the boiler blow down. 0.5m3/d from cooling tower and 0.5m3/d of DM effluent). The process effluent after primary treatment shall be treated in psychrometric evaporation system. the effluent from boiler blow down and cooling water blow down shall be.used for coal ash quenching. The domestic effluent shall be sent to septic tank with soak pits 11 The solid waste generated in the form of process sludge and residues from neutralization tank, solar evaporation pond. process residues (0.132MTPD) would be stored temporarily Within plant premises and disposed of in proposed TSDF in Karnataka or the existing TSDF at Dundigal in AP if permitted. The coal ash from the boilers(0.4mtpd) would be sold to the brick manufacturers. The waste oil (100 lit/annum) will be sent to authorized recyclers. The used battery(1no year) would be sent to authorized recyclers. 12 The company shall develop rainwater harvesting structures to harvest the run off water for recharge of ground water 13 Green belt shall be provided in 25% of the plant area to mitigate the effects of fugitive emission all around the plant. Development of green belt shall be as per the Central Pollution Control Board guidelines. Fugitive emissions in the work zone environment, product, raw material storage area will be regularly monitored. Agreed and being followed The solid waste generated in the form of process sludge and residues from neutralization tank, solar evaporation pond. process residues (0.132MTPD) are stored temporarily Within plant premises and disposed of in proposed TSDF The company will develop rainwater harvesting structures to harvest the run off water for recharge of ground water Green is developed in 25% of the plant area Sl.No General Conditions Compliance to the Conditions 1 The project authorities shall strictly adhere to the The project authorities are strictly stipulations made by the Karnataka State Pollution Control adhere to the stipulations made by the Board (KSPCB).
