Academic Calendar Effective: 10/08/2015 Start Dates Stautzenberger College schedules four or five quarters in a calendar year that meets for approximately twelve for some programs. The College also schedules ten modules for some programs where students are required to take two classes at one time and each module meets for five weeks. Stautzenberger College observes Constitution and Citizenship Day on September 17th of each year to commemorate the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution. If September 17th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the College will celebrate Constitution Day during the preceding or following week. Full time students must take a minimum of twelve (12) quarter credit hours or a maximum of nineteen (19) quarter credit hours per term. Although Stautzenberger College encourages all students to attend full time occasionally students may attend part-time. If a student is attending part-time, financial aid will be adjusted based on actual hours attended. Grants and Scholarships Stautzenberger College is approved to offer grants and scholarships by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. Scholarships are available through outside agencies. See an admissions representative for information about the application procedures and deadlines. Ohio War Orphans Scholarship The Ohio War Orphans Scholarship awards tuition assistance to the children of deceased or severely disabled Ohio veterans who served in the armed forces during a period of declared war or conflict. To receive War Orphans Scholarship benefits, a student must be a resident of Ohio and be enrolled as a full-time student in an Associate Degree program. Contact the Financial Aid Office for application information. Stautzenberger College Animal Studies Scholarships The Stautzenberger College Animal Studies Scholarships are awarded to selected applicants in the amount of $500. The award applicant must be a high school graduate of an Animal Care/Animal Studies Career Technical. Additionally, the applicant must submit one letter of recommendation from teachers and/or school counselors and a typed essay (minimum 500 words) explaining why he/she wants to advance their career training in their field of student. The scholarship will be awarded via tuition credit and/or book credit to five students during the Summer Quarter and ten students during the Fall Quarter. This is a one-time only award funded by the school that will have equal distribution across two quarters of study. Application for this award should be made prior to enrollment. Stautzenberger College Learn What You Love Scholarships The Stautzenberger College Learn What You Love Scholarships are awarded to selected applicants in the amount of $500. The award applicant must be a high school graduate or possess a valid GED. Additionally, financial need will be determined after all other sources of funds have been exhausted. The scholarship will be awarded via tuition credit and/or book credit to two students during the Summer Quarter, two students during the Fall Quarter, one student during the Winter Quarter, and one student during the Spring Quarter. This is a one-time only award funded by the school that will have equal distribution across two quarters of study. Application for this award should be made prior to enrollment.
