NEW BUSINESS - 1) Extension of Superintendent s Contract Recommended Action: Authorize the Board Chair to sign the agreement with Mr. Geary on behalf of the Board of Education for the purposes of employing Mr. Geary as our Superintendent of Schools July 1, 2015 June 30, 2018. 2) Adoption of 2015-16 Teacher & Administrator Evaluation Instruments Recommended Action: Move to adopt 2015-16 Teacher and Administrator Evaluation Instruments. B 1 PERSONNEL INFORMATION APPOINTMENTS Confirming the appointment of Sophia Krisch as Elementary Principal at Martin Elementary School effective July 1, 2015, (Elementary Principals (220 days) Step 4, $126,324. Ms. Krisch received a Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction degree at University of Connecticut. Ms. Krisch resides in East Hampton. Kelly Udelsman to be a Science teacher at Manchester High School. Ms. Udelsman received a Bachelor of Science in Biology Education degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Udelsman resides in Woodbridge. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (BA/Step 5, $49,716). Laura DeMartino to be a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Manchester High School. Ms. DeMartino received a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation and Disability Study degree at Springfield College. Ms. DeMartino resides in Tolland. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (BA/Step 1, $43,611). Rosalia Ruberto to be an Art teacher at Illing Middle School. Ms. Ruberto received a Master of Arts in Art Education degree at Central Connecticut State University. Ms. Ruberto resides in Glastonbury. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA/Step 6, $54,950). Cynthia DeJesus to be the Education Manager for the Head Start Program. Ms. DeJesus received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degree at Eastern Connecticut State University. Ms. DeJesus resides in East Hampton. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (BA+15/Step 1, $44,920). Christopher Driscoll to be a Special Education teacher at Manchester High School. Mr. Driscoll received a Master of Arts in Education degree at College of Saint Elizabeth. Mr. Driscoll resides in South Glastonbury. It is recommended that his appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA/Step 10, $65,418). Nicole Milewski to be an English teacher at Manchester High School. Ms. Milewski received a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education degree at Fairfield University. Ms. Milewski resides in Newington. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (BA+15/Step 3, $47,536). Chanel Curtin to be a STEM Specialist at Buckley Elementary School. Ms. Curtin received a Master of Science in Science Education degree at Central Connecticut State University. Ms. Curtin resides in Bristol. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA+30/Step 8, $64,109). July 13, 2015

Jeffrey Labasi to be a Biology teacher at Manchester High School. Mr. Labasi received a Master of Arts in Science Education degree at University of Connecticut. Mr. Labasi resides in Durham. It is recommended that his appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA+30/Step 5, $57,130). Christopher LeSure to be a Science teacher at Manchester High School. Mr. LeSure received a Master of Science in Secondary Education degree at Eastern Connecticut State University. Mr. LeSure resides in Vernon. It is recommended that his appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA/Step 5, $52,769). Kassandra Holder to be a Physical Education/Health teacher at Manchester High School. Ms. Holder received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree at Eastern Connecticut State University. Ms. Holder resides in Manchester. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (BA/Step 2, $44,920). Sarah Forte to be an English teacher at Manchester High School. Ms. Forte received a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction degree at University of Connecticut. Ms. Forte resides in East Hartford. It is recommended that her appointment be approved effective August 24, 2015 (MA/Step 1, $46,228). RESIGNATIONS Sherry McCullough, Language Arts teacher at Manchester High School has submitted a letter of resignation for personal reasons effective the end of business on June 30, 2015. Ms. McCullough has been with Manchester Public Schools since August 29, 2011. It is recommended that her request be approved. Marsha Testa, Language Arts teacher at Manchester High School has submitted a letter of resignation for retirement purposes effective the end of business on June 30, 2015. Ms. Testa has been with Manchester Public Schools since August 25, 1999. It is recommended that her request be approved. Charles Solarz, Science teacher at Manchester High School has submitted a letter of resignation for personal reasons effective the end of business on June 30, 2015. Mr. Solarz has been with Manchester Public Schools since August 26, 2013. It is recommended that his request be approved. Dominic Marino, Music teacher at Manchester High School has submitted a letter of resignation for retirement purposes effective the end of business on June 30, 2015. Mr. Marino has been with Manchester Public Schools since March 19, 2003. It is recommended that his request be approved. Michelle Ignatowicz, District-wide Art teacher has submitted a letter of resignation for personal reasons effective the end of business on June 30, 2015. Ms. Ignatowicz has been with Manchester Public Schools since August 26, 2013. It is recommended that her request be approved. July 13, 2015
