MUSEO PICASSO MÁLAGA 1. THE CITY OF MALAGA The University of Malaga is located in the capital of the Costa del Sol. Malaga was Picasso s home town and has a population of around 500,000 people. It is located in the Eastern coast of Andalusia and is easily accessible by different means of transport: high-speed train, seaport, a renewed freeways network and the (AGP) Malaga Airport (AGP) -Spain s third airport in terms of air traffic-, which takes travellers to Madrid in 45 minutes and to London or Paris in 2 hours and a half. Besides, moving around the city is very easy because of the cycle lane and the public transport network, which combines buses and underground. Enjoy the warm climate and the daytime and night activities even in the winter. 4

It is a safe city with excellent public health services and a marked international profile, due to the large British, German, Russian, Dutch and Finnish communities that have chosen Malaga as their place of residence. In addition, living in Malaga is cheap in comparison with most European cities. If you want to learn more about Malaga, visit the website: www.malagaturismo.com
