Our goal is to provide students with the financial resources Necessary to reach their education goals. Financial Resources are available Our Lady of the Lake College participates in Federal Title IV programs which provide students with funding through grants, loans and student employment. We also participate in the state TOPS and Go Grant programs. In addition, the College offers several institutional scholarships. For additional scholarship opportunities, visit ololcollege.edu and select Outside Scholarships from the Financial Aid menu. for Louisiana residents For information about Louisiana s Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) or Louisiana Go Grant, contact the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance at 1-800-259-5626 ext. 1012, or visit www.osfa.state.la.us. OLOL college scholarships OLOL College awards scholarships in the form of tuition exemptions to students meeting certain academic qualifications. Incoming freshmen scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of standardized test scores and high school GPA. The transfer scholarship is awarded based on collegiate GPA and number of transfer hours. All scholarships offered are competitive. Students who meet the scholarship criteria and are Louisiana residents will also likely qualify for tuition assistance through Louisiana s TOPS program.

In addition to participating in Louisiana s TOPS program, Our Lady of the Lake College offers institutional scholarships. To learn more, visit ololcollege.edu. *Note : Only incoming freshmen who have been admitted to Our Lady of the Lake College will be considered for these scholarships. Awards may not be combined. Franciscan scholarship* The Franciscan Scholarship is awarded to five outstanding entering freshmen who have demonstrated leadership skills, are among the top students in their class academically, and show promise of continuing such performance in college and beyond. Students meeting the following minimum criteria must submit a resume of high school activities and leadership experiences along with an essay to be considered. To access an application, please visit ololcollege.edu. The minimum criteria are: average of 3.5 or higher Composite ACT score of 24 or Composite SAT score of 1110 Record of high school activities and leadership The award is a scholarship package valued at the cost of full tuition and fees less TOPS, for a maximum of eight semesters.

Presidential Scholarship* The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to ten outstanding entering freshmen who are scholastic achievers and show promise of continuing such performance in college and beyond. The minimum criteria are: average of 3.5 or higher Composite ACT score of 23 or Composite SAT score of 1070 The award is a scholarship package valued at the cost of half tuition, for a maximum of eight semesters. Dean s Scholarship* The Dean s Scholarship is awarded to fifteen outstanding entering freshmen who are scholastic achievers. The minimum criteria are: average of 3.25 or higher Composite ACT score of 21 or Composite SAT score of 990 The award is a scholarship package valued at $1,500 per semester, for a maximum of eight semesters. Catholic Advantage Scholarship* The Catholic Advantage Scholarship is awarded to 10 entering freshmen who graduated from a Catholic high school and meet the following criteria: average of 3.25 or higher Composite ACT score of 22 or Composite SAT score of 1030 The award is a scholarship package valued at the cost of half tuition, for a maximum of eight semesters. Franciscan Assistance Award* The Franciscan Assistance Award has limited funding and, therefore, award numbers vary. It is awarded to students meeting the following minimum criteria: average of 3.0 or higher Candidates must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need The Franciscan Assistance Award is $1,000 per semester, for a maximum of eight semesters. Tau Transfer Scholarship The Tau Transfer Scholarship is awarded to 12 transfer students who are collegiate scholastic achievers and meet the following criteria: College grade point average of 3.0 or higher 24 or more transfer credits The award is a scholarship package valued at the cost of half tuition, for a maximum of six semesters.

Applying for scholarships Consideration for all scholarships, with the exception of the Franciscan Scholarship and the Franciscan Assistance Award, is automatic with your admission to the College. To apply for admission, go to ololcollege.edu and click on Apply Online. Your official high school transcript, standardized test scores and all other required information must be sent to: Office of Admissions 5414 Brittany Drive Baton Rouge, LA 70808 The priority date for full consideration for all scholarships is January 15. Notification of scholarship recipients normally begins in November. Students are considered based on a six semester transcript once they have been admitted to the College. To be guaranteed consideration, standardized test scores must be received by January 15.

Federal financial aid in 7 Easy Steps Step 1: Go to www.pin.ed.gov to apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you are required to include parent information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), your parent should also apply for a PIN. If you already have a PIN, proceed to Step 2. Step 2: Go to www.fafsa.gov to complete and submit the FAFSA. Be sure to list the OLOL College school code, 031062. The Department of Education (DOE) provides an electronic copy of your FAFSA to the OLOL College Financial Aid Office (FAO). Step 3: Submit the OLOL Institutional Application to the FAO. If you have been selected by DOE for a process called verification, you will be required to submit additional documentation. The FAO will notify you via email of all documentation you must provide. Step 4: Your financial aid eligibility is determined after the FAO has received your FAFSA and all required documents, provided you are: a. Admitted into the College and/or program; b. Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy requirements; and c. Meeting all other federal eligibility requirements. Step 5: The FAO will send an award letter detailing the aid you are eligible to receive. Please allow 1 2 weeks (3 4 weeks during peak processing months of July and August) for receipt of your award letter once you have submitted all required documentation. Step 6: Accept or decline any offers via WebServices (continuing students) or paper award letter (new students). Step 7: Direct Stafford Loan Borrowers. If you are a first time Direct Stafford Loan borrower and/or new to OLOL College, you must complete a Direct Stafford Loan Counseling session. A link to the online session is available at StudentLoans.gov. First time Direct Stafford Loan borrowers must also complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). You may complete a MPN by logging onto StudentLoans.gov. Parent Direct PLUS Loan Borrowers: You must complete a credit pre-approval and MPN (if you have not already completed a Direct PLUS MPN). You may access the PLUS application at StudentLoans.gov.
