What is Binary Options? The assets (commodities, indices, stocks and currencies) are used in a specific type of market trading that offers a fixed pay-out for the correct prediction of simple yes/no propositions. For example, a typical binary option would ask if the underlying asset, such as Gold, would rise or fall in value and offer an 85% return for a correct prediction. (Also known as all-ornothing, digital and exotic options)
TRADING PLATFORM 1. ASSET TYPES Listed here are all assets available for trading. Customers can use a filter to select and sort the available assets. Asset types are distributed in groups, from which you can choose according to your preferences: Indices Currencies Stocks Commodities
2. TRADING INSTRUMENTS TYPES With tradorax you decide which instrument to use for trading binary options. Each instrument has its unique benefits and features that you can use depending on your preferences. High/Low Instrument - a binary options trading instrument in which a trader must predict if the underlying asset will reach a value that is above or below the strike price when the option expires. One-Touch Instrument touch and no touch binary options trading instrument in which a trader must predict if the underlying asset will touch (or not touch) a specific value prior to expiration. Boundary Instrument a tool used in trading binary options whereby a trader must try to predict if the underlying asset will reach a value that is within or out of a specified range of values when the option expires.
Short term options come with 60 seconds, 2 minutes and 5 minutes expiry times. With short term options a trader speculates if price of the instrument will close higher or lower than the market price at the expiration time. These are actually identical to high/low options, but for the shorter expiry time. 3. IN/OUT/AT In-the-money refers to a situation in which the underlying asset s value will generate profit. For example, when selecting high on the high/low instrument, the option will be in-the-money if the underlying asset s price is above the target price. Out-of-the-money refers to a situation in which the underlying asset s value is such that it will not generate profit. For example, when selecting high on the high/low instrument, the option will be out-of-the-money if the underlying asset s price is below the target price. At-the-money refers to a situation in which the option s target price is identical to the underlying asset s price. If an option expires in this status, the investment amount will be returned.
4. EXPIRY LEVEL The Expiry Level is the Underlying Asset s market value at the expiry time. This level will determine whether the option expired In the Money or Out of the Money.
5. GRAPH PANEL After choosing a specific financial asset for an option, please divert your attention to the Graph Panel on the right side of the platform. The screen-shot below provides an example for the information contained in that box with a EUR/USD option. The panel on the right side displays the following information: Name of the underlying asset Expiration time the specific predetermined hour and date when the time allotted for estimating the direction of an assets market value closes. Target Price - A term representing the value that an underlying asset must reach in order for an option to end in-the-money. For example, when using the one touch instrument and selecting touch, the option will end in-the-money if the underlying asset touches the target price. Market Price The current value of an underlying asset. Price Graph A chart of the asset price versus time, including the target price(s) and the time remaining until the option s expiration. Return/ Return on Investment (ROI) - The amount given back to the investor once an option expires in-the-money. For example, if investing 1,000 in an option that offers an 81% return, the trader will receive 1,810 in returns ( 810 in profit) if the option expires in-the-money.
6. OPEN TRADES This section shows all purchased options, which have not yet expired. Trade Details - the underlying asset s name. Amount - the amount invested in each option. Target - this is the target price for the option you bought (it is fixed once the option is purchased). Market - the current value of an underlying asset. Expiry - this time when the binary option is due to expire. All open option positions will be shown in the Open Trades section until their expiration time occurs. Close At - the price you can close the position at, if available.
7. CLOSING POSITIONS You will have the choice of closing out an existing option trading position. This can occur no matter whether the option is In the Money or Out of the Money. However, this selection may not be available throughout the whole lifetime of the option. When a Close at selection is available for an open option position, the price bid provided by tradorax for the option is shown as continuously changing in the amber portion of the Trading tools (see picture below). Clicking the "Close at" button immediately brings the relevant option to expiration at the price shown. Early Closure - A feature offered by tradorax which allows traders to exit an option prior to the expiration time for a reduced return.
