US NDC Major System Components Primary US NDC: Operated and manned 24 hours per day, 365 days per year Alternate US NDC: Unmanned geographically separated active copy of primary system. All waveform and alphanumeric data are replicated between systems in near-real-time. In event of planned or unplanned outage of primary system, alternate system becomes primary in a matter of minutes Remote Operations center: Provides immediate remote access to either Primary or Alternate system for planned or unplanned outages Test-bed: Exact copy of both US NDC and Alternate US NDC, running the next future software build final integration and regression testing performed Development network: For software development and maintenance. Multiple fully functional live pipelines available for unit testing Training system: Separate system for analyst training 10
