Requirements The purpose of this project is to provide high-speed, high-density wireless access to every classroom in the district including the high school auditorium and the three gymnasiums. There are a total of 145 locations that have been identified to require Wi-Fi. Our current infrastructure includes 66 Meraki Access Points installed throughout the district. 64 of the existing access points will be relocated and reused and extending those licenses to five years is included in the scope of this project. The project is broken down into three separate sections: Section 1 Meraki Access Points and 5 year enterprise licenses. License extension for existing access points to co-terminate in 5 years Section 2 Network Switches (HP Procurve) Section 3 Furnish and install Category 6 Wiring from the Data Center to each room, patch panel components, punch down blocks, Cat 6 jacks and Face Plates, etc. Patch cables from the punch down block to the switch. Vendors may bid on one or more sections. Each section will be awarded individually. Section 1 Meraki Access Points and Licensing This section includes 81 new MR-32 access points, 81 new AP licenses and licensing for existing access points. It is the intention of this project to have all access point licenses co-terminate five years after the purchase of the 81 new MR-34 AP s. Project includes: Eighty-one (81) Meraki 1 MR 32 Access Points, equivalent or better Eighty-one (81) Meraki Enterprise Cloud Controller five year licenses 8 Enterprise Cloud Controller licenses to co-terminate with the 81 new APs. Current termination of these 8 are 9/30/2019. (Use Co-Termination 2 date of 12/1/2020 for the purposes of this proposal) 58 Enterprise Cloud Controller licenses to co-terminate with the 81 new APs. Current termination of these 58 are 5/21/2017. (Use Co-Termination date of 12/1/2020 for the purposes of this proposal) Note: We realize that the total cost to extend the license is dependent on when the order is placed. Please quote price based on an order date of 12/1/2015. See Page 4 for more information about project timing. 1 The BTS School District has standardized on Meraki and that is the preferred manufacturer. 2 More info regarding Meraki Licensing can be found: https://docs.meraki.com/display/kb/meraki+licensing+faq and https://meraki.cisco.com/support/#policies:licensing Breitung Township Schools Page 2 RFP WiFi in Classrooms_rev3

Universal Service Fund (erate): The Breitung Township School District will apply for Universal Service Fund monies to cover approximately 70% of this project. This project is contingent on receiving erate funding. Bidders must be an approved service provider and include their SPIN number with their bid. The USAC website can be found at http://www.usac.org/sl/ The erate Central website, http://e-ratecentral.com/default.asp, is also an excellent resource to find more information about the erate program. Project Timing: Vendors will be notified on or before March 26, 2015 if they are the successful bidder. The project start date is contingent on receiving our Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) from USAC. The earliest possible start date is August 1, 2015. If the project cannot be completed in its entirety before the first day of school (9/8/2015), then the project start date would not be until December 1/ 2015 with the majority of the installation work being completed during the Christmas vacation (12/21/15 12/31/2015). Vendors shall include a contingency of price increases that will account for project delays. Staging and Other factors: Depending upon the total cost of the project and the overall budget, the Breitung Township Schools may choose to do one or two schools instead of all three. If that is the case, vendors shall be able to scale their proposal and provide itemized pricing. Vendors will be selected based on their overall bid on the entire project. Walk-Through and Project Management/Coordination: If you would like to schedule a walk-through of our building prior to submitting proposals, please contact Jean Constantini at 906-779-2680 x 2211 or e-mail jconstantini@kingsford.org. It is highly recommended that vendors bidding on section 3 schedule a walk-through so that they are familiar with the construction conditions. Overall management and coordination of the project will be handled by Jean Constantini or a member of the TechCo (Technology Consortium) of the Dickinson Iron Intermediate School District.
