REALITY CHECK SAT RANGE, 25 TH -75 TH PERCENTILE FOR ENROLLED STUDENTS AT VARIOUS SELECTIVE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES NATIONWIDE Data based on college Class of 2016 (entered college Fall 2012) and include only those students who ENROLLED at each individual school, NOT all students who applied NOR all students who were accepted. Those schools that reported all three sections of the SAT for The Common Data set are in italics. Otherwise, numbers in brackets are PROJECTED SAT totals for three scales, calculated by doubling the Critical Reading section and adding this to the Math section. Normative data released by The College Board in summer 2012 indicated that the average score for students on the Writing section of the SAT is 488 nationwide. This is roughly commensurate with the national average for Critical Reading (496); consequently, the extrapolation of Writing scores to form a three part total is based on the assumption that the range of Writing results will be parallel to the range of scores from the Critical Reading section SOURCES: The Common Data Set 2012-13, The College Board; school websites Adelphi University (NY) 1010-1220 [1520-1850] Agnes Scott College (GA) 1030-1220 [1550-1920]## Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (NY) 1090-1270 [1600-1860] Allegheny College (PA) 1100-1300 [1630-1940] American University (DC) 1160-1360 [1740-2040]## Amherst College (MA) 1340-1530 [2010-2290] Arcadia University (PA) 1000-1200 [1490-1790] Auburn University (AL) 1080-1280 [1600-1890] Augustana College (IL) 1060-1370 [1560-2020] Austin College (TX) 1130-1330 [1660-1980] Babson College (MA) 1160-1340 [1740-2010] Bard College (NY) 1250-1380 [1900-2090]## Barnard College (NY) 1250-1440 [1900-2200]++ Bates College (ME) 1260-1430 [1900-2150]## Baylor University (TX) 1120-1330 [1650-1980] Belmont University (TN) 1070-1270 [1610-1910] Beloit College (WI) 1110-1400 [1660-2110]++ Bennington College (VT) 1180-1380 [1790-2080]##++ Bentley University (MA) 1120-1290 [1660-1930] Berea College (KY) 1070-1290 [1570-1900]++ Berry College (GA) 1040-1250 [1550-1870] Binghamton University (NY) 1220-1390 [1800-2060] Birmingham Southern College (AL) 1010-1220 [1500-1800] Boston College (MA) 1260-1450 [1900-2180] Boston University (MA) 1180-1390 [1780-2080] Bowdoin College (ME) 1360-1520 [2010-2280]## Bradley University (IL) 1030-1270 [1540-1920]

These figures do not imply or infer in any fashion whether a student will be accepted or denied at the schools to which s/he applies. And remember if you have specific or more detailed questions or concerns, call the admissions office(s) of the college(s) to which you apply!
