Daniel CLOQUET Mr Daniel CLOQUET graduated as Ingénieur Commercial (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and started his career in 1977 as Economic Adviser in the Aerospace Department of the Belgian Science Policy Programming Services. In 1978, he joined BUSINESSEUROPE as Adviser in the Industrial Affairs Department, and subsequently became Director of this Department, which covers EU policies for research, innovation, energy, climate, environment and industrial competitiveness. In September 2010, he has been appointed Director for SME s and Entrepreneurship in BUSINESSEUROPE. BUSINESSEUROPE plays a crucial role in Europe as the main horizontal business organisation at EU level. Through its 40 member federations, BUSINESSEUROPE represents 20 million companies from 34 countries. Its main task is to ensure that companies' interests are represented and defended vis-à-vis the European institutions with the principal aim of preserving and strengthening corporate competitiveness.
Luc HENDRICKX Mr Hendrickx is since 2000 Director of Enterprise Policy and External Relations at UEAPME, the European employer's organisation representing the interests of crafts and SMEs at EU level. In this function he is responsible for SME policy, better regulation, legal affairs, internal market issues (accounting), tourism, trade, corporate social responsibility. He is member of the SME Working group of EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) and represents UEAPME in the European Multistakeholder Forum on CSR. From 1997 until 2000 he was member of cabinet of the Flemish Minister of Environment and Employment. In 1989 he joined UNIZO, the Belgian SME organisation, as Legal Counsellor. Between 1992 and 1998 he was also professor at the Flemish Economic High School (VLEKHO) in Brussels. He started his career in 1986 as salesman in his sister s do-it-your self shop. Luc Hendrickx has a Law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (B), a Diploma from the Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales of Nice (F) and a Master in European Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (S).

Hr. Karl HARTLEB Deputy Director General, AdvantageAustria, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Vienna Karl Hartleb is a law graduate, specialized in European and International competition law. He gained work experience in the private and public sector, inter alia as President of a US-subsidiary of a European industrial company and as counselor in the European Parliament. In the context of his activities for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Foreign Trade Department) Mr. Hartleb was appointed Assistant Trade Commissioner to the US (NYC), Deputy Trade Commissioner to Japan and Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy in Tehran, Iran. He is currently Deputy Director General of the Austrian Foreign Trade Services AdvantageAustria, member of its executive board and head of the markets division, which is responsible for the strategic management of Austria s Trade Commissions worldwide and the regional directorates in the Viennese headquarters. He is further in charge of sector programs, fairs, Austrian world expo participations and other events abroad.
