Our main aims for this workshop are: 1. To emphasise the potentials of nature in relation to public health for politicians and other stakeholders. 2. To initiate the work towards a common Nordic nature & health declaration 3. To offer an opportunity for the green and the white sectors to meet, interact and discuss in order to gain interdisciplinary focus on the value nature has on public health and how we can we help each other out?
What keys do we need to get forward?
We all work with these questions more or less BUT What can we do in a Nordic texture to facilitate - at home? What can we learn from other professions/the 4 different arenas? Green spaces, outdoor education, mental health and prevention Doctors - Health Planners- Landscape Architects teachers etc How can we work through the Nordic council of minister? Let s find some key tools to reach the politicians for a CHANGE
The Nordic countries has something special. Allemansrätten! (free access to nature) Denmark has access to the coast line Still a lot of untouched nature A culture of outdoors that we need to take care of NOW
Some of our suggestions are To continue to develop the homepage www.friskinaturen.org To work for a continuation of a Nordic platform To create a common argumentations folder (nature/health) To create a Nordic Evidence based information central (E- bic) focusing on nature and health. A short informative/beautiful movie about Nature and health. Continue the work also within other networks. Europarc has a strong will to cooperate with our project. They have a working group for health and protected areas.
