International Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering Joint Degree University of and Shanghai Jiao Tong University The contents of the program cover all aspects of the innovative field of computational bio-photonics, i.e. all aspects of the diagnostic and therapeutic use of photons in medicine supported by advanced computing. The students are in Mannheim/ during Year I. Year II gives two options. Option 1 is to carry out the 3 rd and 4 th semester (elective taught modules or Master thesis, respectively) in Shanghai. Option 2 is to only perform the 3 rd semester (elective taught modules) in Shanghai and complete the Master Thesis in Mannheim/. To receive a joint degree diploma, students have to be at least half a year in different countries/ institutions.
