Advisory Forward looking statements This presentation contains "forward looking statements" which involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties and other factors which may cause the actual results, performance or achievements of Ignite Energy Resources Pty Ltd ( Ignite or the Corporation or IER ), industry results or general economic conditions, to be materially different from any future results, performance or achievements expressed or implied by such forward looking statements. In particular, certain forward looking statements contained in this material reflect the current expectations of management of the Corporation regarding among other things: (i) our future growth, results of operations, performance and business prospects and opportunities; (ii) expectations regarding the size and among other things quality of the Corporation's coal resources; (iii) expectations regarding market prices and costs; and (iv) expectations regarding market trends in relation to commodities. These expectations include oil prices averaging US$90 per barrel over the long term and the exchange rate of A$/US$ averaging 1.00 in the near term. Forward looking statements are only predictions and are not guarantees of performance. Wherever possible, words such as "may," "would," "could," "will," "anticipate," "believe," "plan," "expect," "intend," "estimate," "aim," "endeavour" and similar expressions have been used to identify these forward looking statements. These statements reflect the Corporation's current expectations regarding future events and operating performance, and speak only as of the date of this material. Forward looking statements involve significant known and unknown risks, uncertainties, assumptions and other factors that could cause our actual results, performance or achievements to be materially different from any future trends, results, performance or achievements that may be expressed or implied by the forward looking statements, including, without limitation, changes in commodity prices and costs of materials, changes in interest and currency exchange rates, inaccurate geological and coal quality assumptions (including with respect to size, physical and chemical characteristics, and recoverability of reserves and resources), unanticipated operational difficulties (including failure of plant, equipment or processes to operate in accordance with specifications or expectations, cost escalation, unavailability of materials and equipment, delays in the receipt of government and other required approvals, and environmental matters), political risk and social unrest, and changes in general economic conditions or conditions in the financial markets or the world coal industry. The materiality of these risks and uncertainties may increase correspondingly as a forward looking statement speaks to expectations further in time. Although the forward looking statements contained in this material are based upon what the Corporation believes to be reasonable assumptions, the Corporation cannot assure investors that actual results will be consistent with these forward looking statements. New Products from Catalytic Hydrothermal Process Lignite (Brown Coal) ~ 17 MJ/kg as mined 65% water H 2 O OH - H + + 10-7 10-7 * = 10-1 4 sc- wat er 10 : - 3 * 3 10- = 10-6 H O H H O H O H H Biomass Waste wood ~17 MJ/kg dry Components: Lignin Hemicellulose Cellulose Syncrude ~ 6% Oxygen ~ 0.2% Sulphur 40 MJ/kg Bio-crude ~ 11% Oxygen ~ 0.02% Sulphur 36 MJ/kg Upgraded Coal ~31 MJ/kg

Feedstock Properties Victorian Lignite (Brown Coal) Woody Biomass Victoria has up to 20+% of the World s lignite reserves High water Significant quantities of wood residues content e.g. pine sawdust, sawmill Among the highest quality coals Low in bulk density residue can be aggregated the World Low energy density Low in sulphur, ash and metals Low in sulphur, ash and metals High Oxygen Little overburden low cost mining Relatively low cost High moisture content (~65%) means Biopolymers High moisture content (10-60%) inefficient combustion unless dried Low bulk density and energy density Low Sulphur Complex biopolymers plus fatty acids and resins Also bagasse, stover, energy grasses, macroalgae, microalgae... Difficult to transport due to selfcombustion tendency Low bulk density and energy density Complex biopolymer plus oils and waxes

Why Develop These New Products? Greenhouse Gas Reduction Use cleanest energy resources available with greatest thermal efficiencies & lowest greenhouse emission factors possible Renewable Liquid Fuels Renewables industry generally lacks high energy-density liquid fuels from non-edible feedstock Aromatic Chemicals Opportunity to develop new industry based around renewable and non-renewable aromatic chemicals used e.g. renewable phenol for plastics Steelmaking Ongoing need for high quality carbon products for metallurgical and other uses

Pilot Plant to Demonstration Plant IER has been running Cat-HTR pilot plants at Somersby, NSW since 2009 Pilot has been scaled-up three times Pilots have been using biomass and lignite and mixtures of each Next scale-up will be demonstration plant - one module of commercial-sized plant IER awarded $20M grant by Victorian and Commonwealth Govts. to build demonstration plant in Latrobe Valley of Victoria Reactor Progression Plant Construction Reactor diameter scale up 1st Generation Small Pilot 2009-2nd Generation Large Pilot 2011 x 2 3rd Generation Large Pilot 2012 x 3 4th Generation Commercial 2016 x 2.2

IER Awarded ALDP Grant, Signs MOU with PT Bukit Asam ALDP Plant Represents Next Scale-up for Licella IER awarded A$20m through the Advanced Lignite Demonstration (ALDP) program, can access further ~A$28m through government incentives Grant is for the design, construction and operation of lignite-upgrading plant in Victoria s Latrobe Valley ~ $84 M AUD project to build commercial-scale Cat-HTR reactor module in endto-end pre-commercial plant with capacity ~ 143 ktpa lignite (65% water) Three phases over four years to 2018, including engineering and procurement, constructed by mid 2017 Also plan to operate on biomass feed Licella s next scale-up MOU signed with PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk regarding development of Cat-HTR in Australia and Indonesia
